Awesome alaisdair :)
How did you take the photo, and how did you manipulate it?

the photo was taken up against the glass of the stunning jellyfish exhibit at monterey bay aquarium. the only editing i did was some contrast and brightness adjustment.

i noticed just now that the one i posted was too big so i have resized it.

I'm going to give this one a go for the fun of it. If I'm not within the rules please let me know. :)

This is a photograph that I shot onto a solar plate and through different inking techniques, manipulated it through the printing process (no digital manipulation at all). It is hand printed on paper. Technically it is an intaglio print, but it's a photographic process. Still within the rules? [if so, I may crop the paper border off of it and post a larger image when I have more time later.]

Its a photographic process, what is that other than just a more traditional form of editing? I'm sure its perfectly within the rules :)

I'd like to know what it is too, its a really cool shot!

Can someone tell me what happen to my photo? The photo of the two chimps cuddling at the zoo? That picture is 100% mine. I don't see why it would be removed????

Oh duh. Somehow i missed it. I must have scrolled over it to fast. I'm sorry.

Thanks for letting me know.

wish i would have seen this earlier, i haven't been around for a while.

glad this only cemented my opinion that image manipulation won't make a bad photograph good, you can't polish a turd! but it can make a great photograph even more fantastic :)

the photo of my cat was just the way it came out. He was sleeping between the kitchen cabinets and stove and when he turned over and yawned i took the picture and the flash went off . I guess just all the light reflecting off both sides did the effect you see . i thought it looked kinda cool and kept it.
