There is no use being vague when you are trying to get a point accross. Mixed messages are often recieved. We are so used to everything being shortened and simplified because we are too lazy to sit down and think.

It is exactly this kind of patronizing and smug attitude from "seasoned" psychonauts that really irks me.

Just because you have eaten your fair share of fungi and sat in a room cross-legged with a stick of incense does not make you privvy to some kind of massive truth that everyone else is blind to Neo.

This belief that through the use of chemicals you are more in tune with the way the world works that has me laughing. If you are so enlightened then why does every post sound the same?

The same harping on about meditation, Zen and "what is normal?". Puh-leez. It's like listening to a first yeah philosophy student.

In reality yourself, and any other person on a perma-trip just sound like a broken record. Repeating the same worn out "divine truths" revealed to you through a haze of salvia smoke.

Speaking out with distaste against organized religion but coming across with a holier-than-thou attitude that puts born-again Christians to shame. Forcing not traditional religious beliefs upon people but a lifestyle that was inspired by the over indulgence of psychedelic drugs.

You are preaching for people to "think for themselves" in the same breath as wanting more people to think just like you.

So shhh.

The more men I meet the more I realise that I will never find my complete soulmate due to the fact that I really don't know myself nor will I ever truely know myself.

Ive been on alot of dates lately but I feel like im beating my head against a brick wall. I would never have thaught there could be so many people just so obviously wrong for me. I always thaught I got along with 90% of the population. I guess im more picky then I thaught.
 
Yay for whinging about not getting laid! (And bragging about getting laid, which isn't me...yet, but here's hoping)

There's a girl in a few of my classes who I've been seeing almost everyday for the last month or so. No dates, just lunch and study sessions. I can't remember the last time I felt this strongly for a girl.

I haven't made a move yet for a few reasons:
1. Exams start this week.
2. I've become a pussy since new years. :(
3. She's going through a 'man-hating' phase, which she says is probably from hanging out with her female friends and listening to too much Destiny's Child. Yep. Pop RnB will make a misandrist out of anybody.
 
Does anyone else find that its not a matter of meeting someone, its where are they going to fit into your time?

These days its not like I'm not meeting guys its a case of where would I fit them into my time. I work 6 days a week and now studying as well. Come Sunday which is my only day off work a week I'm buggered and still have course work to do.

This statement as well as others makes me think you might be either on the wrong website or perhaps the most perfect one for you at this point in time.

I find so many errors and flame in some of your statements, that I am wondering if you know how to go about peacefully discussing a topic, without bringing in lies, half-truths, and innuendoes.

Your occupation states you to be " blade merchant". What is that about?

Your last post (at time of writing this),was regarding alcohol and making a statement quote " In the name of God" unquote. This perhaps says to me that you are into alcohol and you are perhaps in some extent in belief of a
"Higher Intelligence"

I choose to never agree that the drinking of alcohol is better for the person in regards to enlightenment than meditation.and perhaps " "true" reality-revealing" psychoactive substances of which I find alcohol not to be in the category as much as other compounds.

(Yes, what is true and what is normal may be different for each person.)

I do agree/feel that psyhoactive substance ingestion is not necessary to a completely fulfilling life to be experienced upon this planet at this point in time.
btw;Where does one draw the line, at what point does a food become classified as a "drug/psychoactive substance" and who is to decide?

Anyway, I would like to steer more on course of topic and I would like to explore the theory that perhaps the male of the human species tends to be attracted to beauty/shape wheras the female of the species tends to seek for a mate than provide for her and her offspring.

How do you feel and/or think?

You talk about subjectivity - let me fill you in on this. You mention that im boring. Are you speaking for everybody? Or just yourself? Are you just trying to look cool?

Maybe there are people here who actually listen to what i have to say and enjoy what i have to say. Are you speaking for them too?

You dont like what i have to say because you have been brought up in a society that has brainwashed you into thinking there is no area of higher thought. I am completly disheartened at the way the majority of people have such a closed minded and completly skewed view of Eastern principals. Until you are ready to talk sense, end it, or pm me please.

Oceanboy - I would like to add that I feel attraction is based on mathmatical pricipals. Symmetry esspecially. I believe people who have symmetrical features are more likely to find attraction. Our eyes pick up on fine details in a person that we are unconsiously aware of.

While I cannot speak for anyone but myself, you are bringing in conversational topics that have nothing to do with the thread topic.

There is actually a mathmatical equation for beauty. I remember seeing a website at some stage that used it to calculate the "perfect face" for both man and woman.

Not an astounding beauty as such, just something that was as close to universally attractive as possible.

So I guess some people just genetically luck out in regards to getting something similar.
