Bluelight Singles - from begining to end! don't we love the merge feature!

I think you are right about the self-confidence. If you are not confident enough to make the moves on a girl, you will never have any luck. You will end up with a lot of female friends.
Confident guys can turn into arrogent guys because they know they can get any other girl whenever they want to. So in their mind, it doesn't matter that they treat the girl like shit. And that is where guys get their rep are being arseholes.
Beer and Kebab? Nah. I'll have Scotch and Pizza.
 
Ok, Id like to propose a BAN on any further singles or couples threads. Why? because look at the garbage thats in them... people either complaining about being single, or reitterating that they are happy being single, or worse, people going oh im so happy ive been with my SO for 3 weeks and theyre perfect, and then a week later back in the singles thread whining about how it didnt work.
I mean really, its nothing we havent heard before....Do we really need constant updates on the fact that so and so is still happily single but whatsisface is miserable and lonely? I mean really if people want to comminicate that kind of info to their friends then they will tell them anyway... why should someone have to post on a message board for a show of mass sympathy? if thats the case you need new friends.
Mostly, i just think these threads have degenerated into utterly pointless rambling and dont really sevre any perpose except to take up space on the server.
Ban singles/couples threads! we have irc for all the people who want to try and pick up! :P
 
^^^^ can we at least start deleting all the idiotic posts that are along the lines of:

It's got nothing to do with the thread anybody who can read can see that the thread is for people who are single

I REALLY FUCKING HATE IT when people come in here from the couples thread and parade around like 'oh look at me im in a relationship' and generally rub it in the faces of all the people here.For a start its upsetting to the people who wish they were, or have just broken up. Secondly, its demeaning to the people who are happily single.

I can do that if you want, but all it'd do is delay the enivitable new edition by about 2 days. So it's too much effort to bother really.
Feel free to abuse the people that are posting that tripe though - just do it via email or in IRC or something. Complaining about it in the thread just pushes the post count up even higher.
Some peer moderation from everyone who actually posts decent stuff in here is probably the only thing that's gunna fix the situation. So if someone posts something that doesn't achieve anything, get in contact with them and call them a dickhead. Tell them that they're wasting server space. Accuse them of causing World War II. Anything. I don't care enough about this thread anymore to police it though, so someone else is gunna have to do it.
*sits back and eats popcorn and watches the bullshit float past*
 
RR, if you don't like the thread, don't read the thread. Simple really.
If people get enjoyment out of it, why stop them.

i agree..these perpertual threads are not needed. Move them to IRC. No wait, IRC isn't needed either..get rid of that too.
Fucken...singles / couples threads. I'm gonna a start a 'Long term relationship' thread so I can bitch about how sex is boring, conversation is boring / living together is boring etc etc.
Wish I could post in the single's thread and live the exciting life you unattached people must lead.
