Bluelight Singles Part XVI - "If you don't like it, don't open it!"

That title is a rule, not a suggestion. If you don't like the singles thread, think it's stupid, or believe it should be shut down, well guess what. Nobody cares, and the thread's not going anywhere. Anyone who bitches and moans about this thread in here will have their reply deleted.
I don't really like it either, but there's plenty of people who do, so don't be selfish and let them have their thread. :)
Now, you guys know the drill (and if you don't, read back of the last 15 parts, you'll get the gist of it pretty quick). Try and keep it bullshit free, and think before you reply (standard line)...

Life's usually about dealing well with circumstances you feel you don't have a lot of control over. Relationship status is one of those absolute blinders that separate the people who can't cope with new or unpleasant situations from the ones who can. There's those who make the most of being single, and enjoy it, and there's the others who can't get used to it, don't like it, and bitch and moan like there's no tomorrow.
I'd like to think I'm one of the people who makes the most of it, and if not enjoys it, then at least doesn't think it makes living a misery.
There's always going to be times when you find it a bit of a pain in the ass going out and not having someone you can supposedly 100% depend on to be there for you if you want company, but you deal with it. Sure there's times when you would REALLY like a bit of TLC, but then again, if you don't get it, what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger.
So the whole thing is, it mightn't be ideal, but then, being in a relationship isn't ideal either, so you can bitch and moan that you'd rather be in a relationship than single, but the whole point is, the opposite sex aren't attracted to those who bitch and moan, and are desperately looking to get their claws into someone for a relationship. They're attracted to people who are having FUN (and those who are exceptionally hot, which leaves the rest of us a bit fubared eh? ;) ). So my point is. And you're asking "you mean there is a point?", well there is, so here it is. Enjoy every goddamned second of your life, because bitching and moaning is one way of ensuring you won't enjoy it, and you can't live it again if you waste it.
So enjoy being single, enjoy being in a relationship, the nature of life is constant change. So if you're single, I'm sure someone dumb enough to like you will come along, and if you're in a relationship, I'm sure it'll fuck up eventually. :D

After making a strong post about my life and where i was going and my views on realtionships in the last part. Saying i was going to take a stand and stop what i was doing.
I did exactly opposite, and i dont think i should classifiy myself single anymore........ for this week :)

it's when you start focusing on the bad that things begin to suck because you lose sight of the things that are good and the bigger picture (what ever that may be for you). I find that looking at things logically when I'm very emotional helps me quite a lot
You need to learn to control your mind and then you will be able to better control your emotions. Well that's what i've found anyway.

My god mirage thats like the most un-stupid thing ive ever heard you say :P Pay attention kiddies, the man has the right of it. People tend to focus on why they are unhappy more than the reasons they have to be happy and thus are often depressed about not being in a relationship. However, not being in a relationship doesnt detract from the other good factors in your life unless you choose to ignore them. Remember your friends and the good times you have when youre feeling down and bring a smile to your own face.

Does anyone here remember the blue armbands which were worn at 2 Tribes last yr?
Well if you don't know about them, then this is what it all means.
1 blue armband = bluelighter
2 blue armbands = you want comedown sex
3 blue armbands = you want lesbian sex. ;) (actually I just made that one up)
Anyway I just remembered this whole thing before, and I thought that I'd put it up here for a bit of light humor. I guess I'll be seeing some of you wear them at WOTW. ;)
Oh and for the serious part. An attractive person is someone that isn't down and miserable all the time for whatever reason. When you're happy, and you have goals or something that you're trying to reach towards, then ppl notice because well happy ppl are more attractive than miserable bastards, and no one wants to hear someone whinge and whine all the time.

Yeah, I remember that armband thing, but it got a little out of hand and I think the whole idea went AWOL becasue people started messing with it too much. ie - 3 armbands = lesbian sex, 4 armbands, 5 armbands etc....

well now i can officially post in this thread...
stacy is now officially a single again.. fortunately i know that i can cope as such just gonna miss having someone to sleep with at night and hugs on demand..
fortunately i enjoy being single as much as i enjoy being in a relationship.. its fun knowing that you can flirt with whoever you want to and to do whatever you wish and not have to worry about wheter your bf will get jealous or what they are doing and whether they are happy etc etc... i was single for a year and it was one of the best years of my life, i know theres always someone for me out there, and as i've found out i have some of the most awesome friends in the universe who are better than any boyfriend.
theres no use dwelling on something that cant be changed so onwards towards the future we go..
