At the moment I’m surrounded by people who can’t comprehend how I can be totally happy being single and it’s really starting to tick me off. Most of these people are well meaning and don’t realise that they come across as being condescending so I’m reigning in my temper and suffering under their well-intentioned lectures, motivational talks and the dreaded set-ups with friends.
There’s nothing more annoying than somebody who is in the heights of a new relationship and suddenly feels it’s their duty to set up every single one of their "poor" single friends, and when it’s your normally sane male friends who start doing this and setting you up with their mates you’ve really got to worry.
I believe whole-heartedly that there’s someone out there for everyone, I just don’t want my someone to be anywhere near me for another year or so. Life’s not about being single or part of a couple - there are so many other, more important experiences to be had.

yo sllip move over, have a beer, any body got a kabab, looks like its going to be a good summer. don't know if it means any thing but for once i'm happy to see the sun and revel in being me.
So to every body have a good one, the only way to change some thing is to do it, so i'm going to find some one to share the lights that no one else can see and go crazy with the cheese wizz!

I'm with ya Sllip, single and well quite loving it, in fact the enjoyment of my single life is totally peaking, considering I'm the one with chronically single disease.
I just stopped rushing through my existance with a case of tunnel-vision syndrome and slowed down to take a look around and appreciate little finer things which make me happy.
I enjoy just existing like that, I enjoy beer and I enjoy kebabs

Seriously though it's all how you choose to look at it, you can be miserable single or you can be happy single, the decision is yours and noone else's. When you wake up next day you choose your attitude for that day and how you see the world.
Sure there are days when being single gets to you (espessially when you're around couples all the time), but then there are days when kebabs get to you too (if you keep having them 3 times a day and that's just to cover breakfast).
I'm not closing my eyes on non-single life, if someone comes along then so be it. I'll gladly appreciate it as well as that special person, but I could be happy with or without someone, espesially now that lately I'm starting to really appreciate the person that lives inside me
It's like I always felt bad about my inner self, but suddenly I'm great friends with that part of my self, which makes me feel really balanced, happy, energetic and just gives overall feeling of 'togetherness'...

Has everyone noticed that since everyone's learned that people are only attracted to people who are HAPPY and CAREFREE and ENTHUSIASTIC, as opposed to those who are DEPRESSED, CYNICAL or MOPING, that suddenly everyone's loving being single, and blah blah blah. The point is, everyone still seems desperate (underneath a thin veneer of carefree joyous enthusiasm) to get with someone. I mean okay, I'll give you all a break and say that maybe its 50% evolutionary urges to fuck and reproduce. But you're all so sadly bloody desperate. I mean okay, sure I've been desperate myself before, but frankly you guys, life isn't JUST about whether you're hitched/getting laid.
Anyway, and now, I'm all set to go out. On my OWNSOME!
