*******bluelight meet up********

^^
A wondered Ms Eff, I'm of an age I appreciate a family festival these days. Wickerman and Glastonbury are both good for the wee ones...my boys have %) memories and stories of their times at Glastonbury :D

Good excuse to be mum, completely different festival experience to the usual wreck head debacle ;)

Shambala is a good one for kids, would def take mine there if I had any :)

Until some people tripping on mescaline and 2c-i decide to feed him some ketamine hehe...

My parents took me to Glasto as a kid, some festivals are ace for it :D

Take my boy anywhere, leave him with a 6 pack of wotsits and 2litres of fizzy pop and he's happy as a sandboy!

Just like his dad.

Love kids having fun at festivals in the proper places of course... omg you've got my hormones all overflowing 8)

<3 Family <3

I had a cat flap though and the Toms kept coming in.

One of my cats has a steady b/f.. He pisses at the bottom of the stairs at every opportunity..So when I open the door people are greeted with eau de cat peese

There are at least 3 toms' territories overlapping in our yard.. 1 is sterile but sometimes an involved voyeur while the 2 black uncastrated brothers used to come round on a regular basis, break into house and rape neighbours small kitty in turns while spraying urine all over the place. Once I stepped on them copulating in the dark corridor and the bastard attacked my leg pissingly. When the neighbours moved out, the blacks stopped coming. Now we have gotten a ginger tom ourselves, already 6 months but going outside just briefly. He is not spraying yet but if he will we might have to castrate him. Don't really want though, he's got such a large and proud balls with very light fur on them. Now he will also have to fight for a pussy with them 2 black scarred horny bandits.

You can get a magnetic cat flap and a collar with a magnet in so only your cat can come in - my parents did it with theirs as we had unwanted visitors eating all his fod and scaring him, and it worked a treat.

I am hoping to rehome an old indoor-cat from a shelter soon, I have a smallish outdoor bit but it is a top floor flat so would be unfair on young, active cats. Am up for one who just sits on my lap and purrs :D

So, BL meet in Briz anyone? ;)

You should really castrate your cat for its own health, full toms are notorious for fighting for their territory, and there are enough unwanted kittens in the world! An uncastrated tom will take off looking for a lady and may never come back again...

reminds me of an old mangy cat i had once.. cant remember his name.. umm jam i think .

sent him to battersea in the end... couldnt hold his water.

or solids.

Awful piles if im also remember rightly.

shame x

Thanks for the advice but it is a rather disputable statement, as there are a number of conditions a castrated tom is way more prone to develop. I've been researching the subject a lot and there's no clear answer. It's like with the indoors/outdoors -- sure the indoor cat has a longer average lifespan, but is it happier? I would never keep my cat inside, it is just selfish to not want deal with a little worry of what may have happen with him on the street. Although castration seems to be way less cruel than keeping the cat indoors and especially trimming his/her claws, I would still prefer my cat have fully enabled life.

And unwanted kittens, what do you mean? If the female is not to be fertilized, she should be spayed. Again, it's incredibly cruel and a nuisance to the owner to keep her in a constant heat! Besides, kittens here in London are more than wanted, I have a number of friends who nurse 3-4 litters per year and they always sell them all and even make a little side income out of it.
