it would be naive to assume that the Feds are oblivious to this site and all that it is. the BL Orlando bust has been brought up and that is good enough evidence that you should be protect yourself at all times when active on this site. I would never post pictures of my stash, surely not anything jaw-dropping in weight and I wouldn't even post pics of personal amounts, either. I think refusing to post pics of yourself is a little too far-fetched, but that is just me.
I am sure there are some undercover lurking and perhaps posting on BL - but it would be difficult to establish their actual numbers, even an approximate guess.
Bluelight does a good job of making it known that our prime directive is harm-reduction, and as a moderator myself it is our number one priority to keep our esteemed posters protected, safe, and secure. that is why us mods are so strict with dealing with users who post sources and all else that is possibly incriminating. please don't let this BL undercover paranoia tarnish your overall BL experience, be smart. I'm sure everyone who makes it known in the drug forums that they know their shit with drugs will get some sketchy PMs from time-to-time, Lord knows I've had my fair share. it's best to just ignore those types of messages and if they persist and don't get the message then bring it to the attention of a mod or admin.

^^Pretty darn accurate. If you get PMs, fwd them to an Admin and we'll handle it. If you see posts soliciting or looking for sources, REPORT it and the mods/admins will take care of it. Sometimes, its just a n00b who hasn't read the rules. Sometimes it is LE fishing a bit and hoping to get lucky.
I will state the two big instances I know of where LE has been a problem - the Orlando incident as mentioned, and there was also a large AUS gathering that was raided quite awhile back. Hence the majority of forums have very strict mods as A_B pointed out. We're trying to protect our members, but the best protection you can have is to not be dumb on your own part - do not incriminate yourself. I'd recommend checking our Greenlighter Guide which has a section on personal security which could be of benefit to you.
Yes, LE has used this site and busted both individuals and the two large gatherings mentioned.

Honestly, the older I get the more worried I grow about posting on this forum. There have been many times when I've typed out a post and then deleted it. Paranoia, yeah but I've learned that its best to be that way sometimes. We all gotta remeber that what we partake in is illegal. It can be hard to think of things that way when using.

there is a lot of stupidity in this thread. you guys thinking that the people sending PMs asking for drugs are feds are mistaken, most of those people are just dumb drug users who don't read the rules.
this guy knows what he's talking about. i don't know how many of you are famaliar with joe pistone. he is an fbi agent who went undercover and spent 6 years in the mafia, fooling everyone he came in contact with. in fact, he did his job so well that when it was finally revieled that he was an undercover agent, the mobsters he had been with didn't believe it. they were so sure he was one of them, they thought the government was trying to trick them into belieiving he was an agent to make them think they were beaten. and these guys spent years with him day in and day out and he passed all their tests. on the other hand, you have people like me who tend to get nervous in social situations. as a result, many people have thought i was a narc when in fact i wasn't. so you see, there is no way to tell for sure whether someone is a narc or not. if they are acting funny, it could be because they are someone like me who has trouble picking up on social cues. and if they seem totally cool and trustworthy, they could simply be a narc who knows what they are doing.
my point here is that the people working for law enforcement aren't stupid. they are well aware that PMing someone asking for drugs won't catch anyone but the dumbest drug users. and if you think you can tell easily who is an undercover agent and who isn't, you are probably mistaken. if an agent does his job well there are very few ways you can tell. this is why the smart drug dealers, people who work in organized crime, etc, are suspicious of everyone.
