BL Poker Tournament: Weds 18 Feb 8pm - details in 1st post

i had most of the chips, thought i had it won, but IJ pulled out a 3 of a kind, then i thought i had won it again but IJ pulled out a 3 of a kind on the river to take most of the chips, was all downhill from there

There's not really such a thing as scoring in poker. You either win or you lose really. Most tourneys pay for 1st, 2nd and 3rd as there was only 3 of us we all got paid. :D

I lost loads of chips right at the start, had Mugabe down as a total bluffer and tried to re-bluff him several times only to get caught with my hands in the till. Off to a bad start, next time will be more cautious. And will pay more attention, before I knew it was low in chips and the blinds were huge. Excuses, excuses. :|

Look forward to playing again though with more players. :)
 
I'm not arsed about leagues and points myself just want to play for some cash every week or so and have some banter. What would be the point in a league? We're not likely to award the winner at the end of the year a trophy or some cash.

i know there would be no prize at the end of it or anything like that, I just reckon a league would make things more fun. See who is consistently the best, and the worst.

Shambles, think of my list as being like the Olympic medals table; nothing to do with the scoring of the actual game itself :)
 
Is the tournament on Pokerstars? I got lost reading through the posts sorry :)

I'm up for a tourney but after 7pm.

Generally play in Pokerheaven. They have a private tournament facility but i have never used it and have no idea how to set on up.

Also, isnt Pokerstars the one that asks you for your Passport and Driver's License when trying to deposit funds? Seems iffy to me

Matt yeah we played pokerstars and will be again on Wednesday at 8pm. Join us. :)

It asks for your passport / driving license but I didn't bother to put them in, it's optional I just stuck in my D.O.B. and it was happy with that. It's a legit site though endorssed by many of the big poker stars and one of the biggest on the net so you don't have to worry about them being dodgy.

Yeah, same for me. They asked for those details but its optional. No problems with accepting my DOB. Though I was paying by credit card, so that obviously implies I'm over 18 :)
 
Can someone change the thread title to let folk know when the next game is. Wednesday at 8pm.
