I used to get my bitcoins with the Barclays PingIT App, but certain websites have stopped doing the service now, pressure from government again.

It was never officially barclays, basically you just send money to a phone number from your phone, using that App... was very handy though. You can still use it on the localbitcoin site, send money to others with no fee...

Why does it matter, bit coins aren't illegal are they? There's no trail of what you've bought with them.

In the past though Barclays been up to there fair shair of no good, they got a hefty fine in the US for fixing energy prices, trying to manipulate the market, something like a £290m fine

, HSBC also been upto no good, they paid a £1bn fine didnt they for allowing hundreds of millions to be illegally laundered by cartels in the US, theyre a part of the same company basically arent they?

Nope, pretty much untraceable if done right, so you can just say your a trader.

I thought I read somewhere that Barclays fee for BC exchanges was 1.5%, compared to other exchanges floating around the 0.7% mark.

Which works out to a difference of £65 give or take from an investment worth eight grand. With such a large BC value you should find an exchange which combines security, reliability and value.

And you should cash in soon before the BC value collapses properly.

Up to £105 a pop now. Almost wish I'd invested me giro t'other week - would've nearly tripled me money :!

Actually I don't wish I'd invested me giro given the amount of faff involved. All the free drugs it'd gotten me would've been a boon though :D

To be fair I'd only be using 'em to buy drugs with anyway if I ever used 'em at all so wouldn't ever have the hassle of trying to cash 'em out. Also wouldn't make any profit on 'em, mind. Am really not the speculating type. Which is no doubt for the best 8)

Good luck with the mission, MDB.

Thanks Mr S. You know you might be a natural and suss everything immediately, being a bit of a brain box and all. Im one of those people thats thick as shit at understanding some things, but get other stuff instantly...........

C'mon who wants £750 ? (i aint no crook, to my knowledge 99% people on here are honest, I'd see the deal through)

NB: If the system fixes itself you dont get £750 ! ;-)

i wasnt speculating either, i was just buying SR currency. I have no wish to completely ruin myself with £8000 worth of drugs at this present time. Things are looking up.

They are worth 9G now, in theory, but "Transfer delay: Importing statements delayed "Service or selected feature is temporarily unavailable". I wasnt speculating eithert, i was just buying SR currency.

i dont know who you quoted this from ceres but

The bitcoin exchange, MTGox, went offline twice on Friday, first, in order to install new hardware to help cope with increased trading volumes and then to avoid a "stronger than usual" hack attack.

The shutdowns led to a round of panic selling that forced values to plunge from record-high $260 for one bitcoin on 10 April to less than $100.

the tide seems to have turned, are we at high tide now ?. Fuck.
