Best & worst drugs to come down from

After reading this I'm even more certain now hat the aftermath of MDMA/MDA is determined by genetics ie how much alphamethyldopamine gets produced as a metabolite (unfortunately I seem to produce a fair bit compared with others). I'm basing this on seeing my grandad after starting to take Aldomet (alphamethyl DOPA, which has active metabolite alphamethyldopamine) for his blood pressure. He endured 4 weeks of hideous depression before the doc switched him to somehting different
 
^ Abused MD is bad :| - excessive i.v stimulant abuse is fucking terrible - & that's after the psychosis wears off & would you describe opiate withdrawal as a "comedown" ? I would & that makes the grade as well, drinking litres of vodka with LSD doesn't result in the best of after effects either I've found.

Good after effects, with DMT & similar tryptamine compounds afterglow is pretty much the bees knees.

Unabused MDMA can give a wonderful afterglow - so much so you want to do it again 8)

Ketamine after effects are pretty much inoffensive.
 
DMT is just pure bliss for the next while after taking it, absolutely adore the stuff.

I guess Methylone is pretty bad.. at least in terms of it making me feel slightly depressed afterwards and speed just seems to leave me tired.
 
MDMA. Fucking not nice probably cause I always went overboard though. Made the smallest little problem go round and round in my head for days.

I don't think crashes are a self-fulfilling prophecy :P.

I also don't think MDMA started the whole notion - MDMA is relatively new compared to speed/coke, and both those drugs definitely give me huge depressive episodes following their use. It's not some mythological idea that only happens if you're expecting it - I didn't expect a crash from coke the first time I did it (I didn't know what to expect, I was horribly ignorant), and I certainly felt like death.

It's a bit subjective. I feel 100% fine (in fact, better than fine) after an MDMA use, including the following week. Meth, on the other hand, gives me panic attacks. Some people I know express exactly the opposite.

I did that once and made or not as the case was a decision that's led to a development 2 years later that I regret :| The fucking thing is going to be there for the next 100 years too :( oh deary fucking me....never again!

Ket is gentle on me mentally and physically afterwards <3 Acid depends very much on the type of trip, if it's good I'm all freshly laundered and glowing afterwards. If it's a head-fuckery one I'm mind-chewed :D

If I don't do too much cannabis and keep it moderate the after effects of an evening's toke turn me into a lovely laid back lady the next day and I'm all creative and chilled. Good stuff %)

Any stims and mdma leave me with the usual suicide Tuesday experience - I'm obviously not made of strong stuff eh 8)

The worst is DHC - I spend the day after violently throwing my guts up, anything that goes into me, even water is projected out at great force, I cannot even get vertical :| Horrid, though it's cracking stuff and worth the occasional whirl!
 
best- dmt (acid and mescaline are a close second but leave me pretty drained yet still wired)

worst- heroin addiction/withdrawal, coke or alcohol
 
Worst has been MDPV. Not much because of the effects of the MDPV but more the fact that I got into a 3-days-awake 6-hours-asleep pattern and stayed on it for weeks. After you run out.. oh dear you're just dead, absolutely dead! Climbing a small flight of stairs leaves you out of breath, drained.

I don't think I've had several-day all good feeling from anything, but I haven't had any major comedowns either, certainly nothing hugely depressing at least.

Alas Mr F&B I am well and truly down the road of harm reduction with my cannabis consumption :|

I'm accessing it seldom and keeping with the "snobbery" programme, leading to much less consumed, cause good stuff is hard for me to find - nae soap bar, nae crap :D This is positively a successful outcome for me, her of decades long addiction to the beloved stuff <3 On the negative side when I do find quality I do tend to pig out on it ;)

As posted, when I do behave with the stuff, it really adds to my life and that's me not even noting the pain relief effects it has on my sciatica :)
 
Yep, I said goodbye to soap bar and other assorted shite years ago after finding a fingernail in some. There days I don't even smoke tobacco in spliffs, which seems to have made some people fearful of my neat skunk creations!

Ha..I'm too ashamed and doing so would identify me professionally, maybe :\

Let's just say I had my vision fixed on a more environmentally sustainable facility, "softer - greener" capital works, but I was so fucked over post-drugs I couldn't be arsed with the fight for it at the deciding meeting. I just said ok to the cheaper more invasive option.

I'm not proud and the legacy is there for the rest of my life and beyond to remind me of my fuck up :(

A valuable lesson in - take a day off after an ecstasy binge 8)
 
Best - aMT (by miles), MDMA (sensible amounts) or mushrooms.

Worst - Methylone, G withdrawal.
 
best are definitely psychedelics, especially dmt.
mdma and speed are ok. the comedown on these can actually be pleasant if you have nothing to do.
worst are methylone and coke, they leave me quite depressed.
 
Heh, first time I had a pill I had an amazing afterglow the whole of the next day. One pill, quality night, home by 4 and straight to sleep. Up bright and early the next day still feeling amazing. Those were the days, eh?

Do agree though, there are still far worse things than an MDMA day-after, even after a heavy night on it, as long as I don't have to do anything more challenging than mong out in bed watching TV shows or arse around on the 'net. Would take that feeling over the 'OhmygodIwannadie' of an alcohol hangover, any day.
