Best Trance Songs For An E-Party (Your Favorite Songs Needed)

theres only one type of UK hardcore. its also called freeform. kinda like happy hardcore just without the cheese and it has lotsa acid synths.

It's just I find that people are usually either reffering to what you mean, or the hardcore from the early 90's which is a considerable amount slower.

How often does hardcore rip off trance?

i assume youre talking about remixing tracks within one genre so that theyll fit the other. in that case while it happens within both genres its not that common. i can put together a list of trance tracks that were originally hardcore tracks just to prove my point but thats too much effort. in anycase, its rare that these tracks get played by dj's anyway. alot of it is generic sounding stuff that doesnt get too popular once it makes the switch.

back to my original point. uk hardcore>trance.;)

Global Panic - Technikal
Ready or Not - Steve Hill vs D10
Not over yet - Neon Lights
Blackout - dark by design
Evolution - Dark by Design

Get some trance in your life, it's loads better. ;)

I don't mean to sound snooty or elitist, as I have relatively little knowledge or experience, but:

I downloaded the songs from the first page of this post and I have to say I found them all god-awful and really pedestrian, for want of a better word (born slippy is a classic though)..
Personally I think that although it's a step up from hardcore, mainstream dance is really pretty shabby unless you're absolutely muntered (and even then..)

I really rate just about any 2manydjs mixes (bootlegs included), as well as older but proven tunes by artists like Leftfield, Utah Saints, and Chemical Brothers. Plump DJ's play blinding sets too.
Good old Norman (Fatboy Slim) and Groove Armada have to be up there as well.

As for flash-in-the-pan tunes, Late Night Alumni - Empty Streets is very mellow and melodic, as is Orbital - Halcyon & on & on. Dope Smugglaz - The Word is more upbeat!
If you insist on mainstream, Crystal Method, and select Oakenfold (Delerium, Sex Drive, Ready Steady Go, Flesh) is cool too.

I guess it really depends on the mood, I prefer more mellow or at least really well produced stuff, if I'm going to dance like a bellend :)

In all fairness this thread is littered with shit tracks.

I could run off a list of what I consider well produced and original trance but know that you probably don't particulary care and won't neccesarily like it.

Horses for corses and all that, so long as it isn't too gimmicky and under-produced.

Call me a philistine but I seem to like a lot of "mainstream" techno/house/trance whatev. To me it has to have like a good melody or sample or beat whatev u wanna call it.

Songs like Sandstorm - Da Rude (I know the biggest techno cliche but still)
Digital Love - Daft Punk (probably one of the best if u get the right mix)
Weapon of Choice - Phatboy slim (lots of phatboy slim)
Born Slippy of course. It has a good beat once you get into it but also it feels very emotional at the beginning which is my favorite part.
Going to Ibiza - Venga Boys (hahaha whatever I like it)
Escape - Dj Sammie or something like that

Oh but wait, above all I would say the best song for rolling would have to be...

~'*-. ,.-" ~--> Lux Aetena (a.k.a. "Requiem Theme")

Kate Ryan - Deschantee
lazard 4 o'clock in the morning
perpetious dreamer - say goodbye
Ian Van Dahl - Castles in the Sky
and the song that makes it kick in for me is Fine Night - Alice Deejay

its a fine day is a great older tune, but it was ms.jane who sang it.....pisses me off that a buncha ripped versions are flyin around with alice dj as the artist

William Orbit - Barbers Adagio for strings (ferry corsten mix)
Underworld - Born Slippy (as said 100 times)
Armin - Communication
Black Rock - Blue Water
Blank and Jones - Cream
Deepest Blue - Give it away (ONLY the mix played in clubs)
N&K feat dennis the menace - Cruising (Steve Murano mix)
Paul Van Dyk - For an Angel
Ernesto vs Bastian - dark side of the moon
Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (paul oakenfold mix)
Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes (dj tiesto mix)
System F - Out of the blue

well theres some of my favourites, download all these and you wont be dissapointed

Rabbit in the moon- Sasha and Digweed (symphony, which is on one of their earlier cd's is my favorite.) Very hard to find though. Won't be disappointed though!

trance euphoria- dreaming

Hi there,

I just put up a post on 'fave emotional songs' so i'll repeat a few I posted;

Oliver Shine - "Northstar"

Randy Kitana - "Play It Louder" (slightly more hard dance but still)

Adam White & Andy Moor present Whiteroom - "Whiteroom" (if you ask me , trance don't get much more euphoric or classy than this)

To be honest, i'm sure plenty of people have put loads of their own suggestions - I do think trance is a tricky beast because so many people just like the same old coffee table, dog shit, play it safe, sign-posted breakdown bullshit whereas I do prefer the more I spose old style. I've been listening to this sort of stuff since back in 1997 when a mate of mine and semi pro DJ used to buy all these tunes on Juno records, Bonzai recordings, Perfecto etc (when it'd just been set up mind). There are trax from back then that still piss on the some of the stuff being made nowadays.

Just my 2 cents :p

LMAO...... Ok the thread was for Trance, not bubblegum UK house... But I will give a break and consider all EDM (old and new):

Andain - Beautiful Things
Armin Van Buuren - Shivers (Original Mix)
Armin van Buuren feat Gabriel & Dresden - Zocalo (Original Mix)
Aven - All I wanna do (Ferry Corsten Rmx)
BT - Force of Gravity (Ferry Corsten remix)
Perasma - Swing 2 Harmony
Conjure one - Tears from the moon (Tiesto remix)
Deep Dish - Say Hello (Paul Van Dyk Remix)
Infusion - Girls Can Be Cruel
Josh Gabriel - Alive
Way Out West - Killa

There is a short list for you to download... Nice mix of "shake your ass" songs and "go on a CEV trip to another world" songs!
