on a side note. just about everyone that listens to only trance doesnt know much about it and even less about other forms of electronic music. i dont care what mixmag said, paul van dyk is far from the best DJ in the world.

ANYTHING by Union Jack.. i still believe and always will believe that he was the best trance producer of our time, his songs are 12 minutes of bliss. He builds you up so slow and then hits you like a ton of bricks which you rarely hear these days . The label he was on was Platypus, its near impossible to find his records now but you can prolly find CD's somewhere.

It's quite obvious that anyone who listens to "only trance" isn't going to know absolutely anything about other types of electronic music. That's not to say that people who are into trance don't know alot about other forms of dance music though. In my experience a lot of Trance fans tend to be clued up on especially Prog, House, Techno and the likes.

What type of UK hardcore are you reffering to?
 
theres only one type of UK hardcore. its also called freeform. kinda like happy hardcore just without the cheese and it has lotsa acid synths.
