best songs of the 90s

Phwoar, there are some good tunes being posted in here.

SHM wins by a mile for the Spiritualized/JAMC/Verve/KLF, though. Lovely stuff. (Though inflo gets runner-up prize for the Shirehorses, I'd forgotten about them.)

The song that still screams 1990s to me is the below. I remember me and my friends bizarrely singing this at the tops of our voices running through a tube station on new years eve 1999 and this load of girls joining in on tuther esculater..funny! And a guilty pleasure!

David Grey-Babylon

Choosing a few tracks is too difficult. :P My music taste appears to be firmly stuck in the 90s anyway - I just had a nosy at my last.fm stats.. yikes.

This is a forgotten classic-1997!

WTF...? That was nothing more than a B-side single filler that no-one listens too.

Out of ALL their AMAZING songs... no good... out of space... firestarter...andoid..... why the hell did you come out with that obscure song??

what are you like , with your WTF etc etc.

the idea is to post your favorite tunes not try and pick ones that are popular with others.

Music, like any art is a personal thing, personally I think Liam Howletts best work was the stuff he made before the Prodigy was formed, this is one of the few examples that made it onto vinyl, the demo tape versions of Charly are far superior to the single release IMHO...I don't know much about much but don't try and educate me on 90's hardcore;)

While I see your point, I still find the choice a bit surprising. If you were to post one prodigy song, "What evil lurks" is a very strange choice. Well, each to their own I guess. I can't criticise you for having a music taste.
