Sorry I forgot to remake the thread.

Here was my original list:

For those of us who are nostalgic, yet not too old... What's ur fave 90's songs? No hip-hop.

My 6 faves from the 90's (couldn't crop it down to just 5):

Real McCoy - love and Devotion

Dubstars - Stars

Tears for fears - Tears Roll down

Olive - you're not alone

Ace of Base - Love and Devotion

Shakespear Sister - Stay

And then there's SNAP! rhythm is a dance, Coolio Gangstas paradise, Scatman John, 2 unlinted - no limit... ahhh....

ROBERT MILES... Remember him? I had forgotten that name for many years. Beautiful:

Robert Miles - one and one

When you create the link you will see the URL appear twice in the post, edit the second instance to whatever text you like and you have said fancy click thing.

Before I attempt my 90's list, which is bound to be largely obscure white label hardcore, as that's all I remember form the 90's ;)

Is there a (very) specific format this time or have we gone all bohemian and gonna let ot all hang out, best I ask before SHM chimes in :D

I would contribute if I could remember much of 91-99.

Lots of giggling, making bongs out of kitchen items and chewing my face off. Pretty sure we had music playing in the background at some stage ;)

The Lemonheads - My Drug Buddy (Official Video)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDxNcaS-yck

ayeeeee!!

So far, Ive only had a couple of guys from the USA talking to me about The Lemnonheads and my secreen name. They are one of the finest american indie bands of that time imo. Great songwriters. The guitaring, chord changes, vocals and melodies are awesome, the female backing vocals and hammond organ/keyboard backing top off a great track. Evan Dandoe himself is a great solefull singer.

The Lemonheads - It's A Shame About Ray (Official Video)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFYFj5q8_Qk

Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit of course, what a world changingly brilliant track this was

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTWKbfoikeg

Tom Petty - Learning To Fly

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5BJXwNeKsQ Great driving music, its a proper bouncy chiming highly polished track this one.

Metallica - Nothing Else Matters [Official Music Video]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj75Arhq5ho

Queen - These Are The Days Of Our Lives

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDUmT3wm-0A Amazing tune, they still had it, what a smooth and strong singer Freddie was even when he was dying. Im not gay but he's gorgeous. Finest frontman, ever. Trade mark classic Brian May solo. They changed a lot over the years, but allways had their own instantly recognisable Queen sound, a sound all of their own.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under The Bridge (Official Music Video)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwlogyj7nFE a definate contendor for one of the best tracks of the decade imo.

The Offspring - The Kids Aren't Alright

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrZ4sMRYimw Fantastic track.

What do you mean, dont my links work ?

Oh do you mean turning the link into the track artist and name ? No, dunno how to do that, never been bothered to find out.

Im checking out your link, sounds good. Nice one. There's a bit of Abbas Dancing Queen in there.

Deep Forest - Boheme, part 1/6

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLMRRlPpBkg Doesnt take of until 2:00 and then it gets very good. I love the 'tribal singing'.

Delerium feat. Sarah McLachlan - Silence (16:9) HQ

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qtz3OINaEOE

theres so many remixes of this, i changed the link to go with one of the more "banging" and heavy mixes. There are even more banging, snappy and intense versions, or maybe that was the mephedrone. This track used to get me soooooo high. It was ectstatic.

Not sure if this was 90s or 2000s tbh. Im not great at labelling this type of music, is it what you would call Trance ? This is the only genre of 'techno' music that i like. I cannot stand "happy house", i really hate it.

Brainbug - Nightmare (Original Sinister Strings Remix)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvsqEFWZ9tw this was definately 90s. This is a fucking good mix, not heard this version before. I like this one even without chemical enhancement.

Radiohead - Street Spirit (Fade Out) [HD Lyrics]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2EVQPvoX7Y Another contendor for song of the decade imo. Radiohead have a lot of great tracks to chhose from.

The Replacements - When It Began (Video)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fS-1waMLk9k and this, gorgeous but little known track

R.E.M - Belong [Out of Time] 1991

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7WZ158HHLQ Out of Time was/is a great album.

Pixies.- All over the world (subtitulada en español)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnTWab3u4Bk

Yr Anhrefn - Rhedeg I Paris

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJWBmzjwYnI Welsh boys done good. My favourite flavour of punk, euphoric and uplifting. I havent a clue what its about, even though i speak welsh, hes running up and down and drowning under water, seems to be the main thing.

Blur - The Universal

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrbxWOMpwfs

Robbie Williams - ANGELS - Lyrics Video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_itg0ZHVe3w

Im sure these tracks are about as good as pop music gets. The peak of perfection.

As Freddy Mercury was THE star of the original Live Aid, Robbie Williams was the star and best individual performer of the 2008 thing. He really blew me away, i was so impressed. Pink Floyd and U2 were awesome too of course.

We've got 2 nominations for Smells Like Teen Spirit, and a couple of Radiohead nominations.

I think it could be argued that SLTS was the best track of the decade. It changed the world, musically. It was the most exciting and influential thing that happened musically in that decade imo.

It will be interesting to see if there's any consenus here. I know everyone has their own tastes, but i hope that overall some things will be agreed upon, and that it might be possible to draw up an EADD best 10 tracks of the 90s. Teen Spirit is the outright winner allready imo.
