*Best drug to get rid of depression/loneliness

For the loneliness part you might want to try changing your username.

In all seriousness, I have been diagnosed with chronic treatment-resistant depression my entire life and been on many types of ADs and psychiatric cocktails and had various illegal habits and what has worked for me the most consistently and successfully has been a combination of regular exercise and a high daily dose of wellbutrin. Nortriptyline worked too, but had some nasty side effects (weight gain, dry mouth) that didn't go away with use.

If you think feeling lonley is bad, wait until you acquire a smack habit (which using it for the purposes you intend will definitly end up with a habit). if you get to that stage, lonleyness will seem like a birthday present in comparison.

Doing heroin to cope with feeling lonley will eventually lead you to a place where you're still lonley, but also skint, and ill from withdrawls. It's not a sociable drug, as you get sucked up into your own head, and the world of your dreams (until you run out).

If you have to take a drug because you feel lonley, try MDMA, and go somewhere that'll have other people in the same state as you. You may well find someone who you have a lot in common with, and end up becoming friends. With smack, the only people you'll meet are dealers, and other people waiting to score
Very good advice fastandbulbous :)

I'd listen to that ^

You have to be happy or be able to act happy at least if you want a girlfriend I think , depressed people are not really attractive

It does have a certain catch-22 aspect to it, doesn't it...

You're lonley, and because of that, you'd really like the company of someone you could really get close to/form a bond with, but because lonliness tends to make you melancholy or distant, people aren't too enthusiastic to be in your company

I know that people (g/f or b/f) aren't drugs, but the company of a sympathetic person will do you much more good than getting whacked on a drug; any drug

If in a bad mood: Cannabis
If feeling worthless: Cannabis/psychedelics/any mood enhancer with a friend
If stable yet worried about yourself: Introspection (catalyze with psychedelics, meditation as required)

i have a question, you guys that suffer from "loneliness", is it actually a recognized disorder??i mean, im getting the vibe that some on this thread, other places as well, just seem to be lonely no matter the company they keep..i was just curious as to whether or not the PHSYCH community has come out with another "disorder"..

definitely do NOt go the LSD route in your condition..like others have said, seeking out relationships would obviously be the best solution..drugs would help greatly via short term, but might be bad for long term fixes...

as for anti-depressants, i have talked to some that say these drugs have literally saved their lives, yet others who have claimed they would never touch another anti-D drug ever..they say they would rather feel depreesed than be on these drugs..hard to say how truly depressed they are..

when dealing with the human mind, there are so many variables, so many dos and don'ts...that sucks, but we will never come close to truly understanding WHY we do things, and WHY some people can go thru terrible circumstances and still be remotely happy yet others can sprain their ankle and start to contemplate suicide..

Absolutely.

This is what my experience has proved as well. I'd give up drugs forever (for whatever reason) if I were to find love.

^ I totally agree. That's the one thing I would give up drugs for and drugs play a large part in my life, I'm pretty much constantly thinking about them somehow relating things to them, but IMO something like love, a drug can't touch.

I'm kind of lonely myself but I just stick with it and be bored all the time, music seems to help alot but if you want a temporary short-term situation anything that keeps me occupied is nice, especially psychedelics since I'm never bored on them. Tripping with a friend if they are open to it can be an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to trip with my cousin and it turned out to be the best experience of my life ( crying tears of joy ) and I was elleviated with a nice mood lift for weeks afterwards.

Get off your ass and exercise, meet some people and find some hobbies.

If you want to abuse drugs though, opiates will do the trick for a short period of time (until addiction gets rough). As many of us have done, you may dig yourself into a hole that is very hard to climb out of.
