First up I been on SSRI's, they do FUCK ALL. So, if you guys could recommend something that will cure the way I've been feeling lately, especially today. I know how to get some H, I've tried it once a few weeks back(only snorted) and it seemed to do the trick, this time I'd be willing to IV it even though I'd have to go solo since people that IV heroin users are looked down upon(even those these same people shoot crystal meth) I would prefer to do some Oxycodone again but it's EXTREMELY hard to get your hands on around these parts. Soo, best drug to do for my problems? I just want to zone out for a bit and forget about the world.

GHB. Just remember to wait at least six hours between doses and take two days off every week aand you'll be fine for a long time in terms of physical addiction.

That being said, you should also explore your spiritual state...maybe do some internal cleansing. DMT is best for this, in a controlled setting of course. Second would be mushrooms, again in a controlled setting.

See a psychologist or councellor instead of making the decision to mask your problems with drugs. Use GHB as a last resort and if you do, make sure you take the necessary precautions to prevent overdosing. You also have to be aware of the fact that over the (very) long term, GHB may be addictive. But then again, Benzos also cause sever physical dependence and SSRI's can cause discontinuation symptoms, so it's your choice.

I have succesfully used GHB to deal with severe depression in the past. It works and is more effective than any other drug I've used for this purpose.

Don't take psychedelics when in a state of depression - it's asking for a bad trip.

There is no drug that will cure you.

However, that doesn't mean that there aren't cures. For me, forcing myself to get out of the house and do things (like go on walks and stare at things) was way better than sitting around thinking about how shitty everything is and how I don't have anything to do, etc etc.

You're in control of your interpretation of life.. take advantage of it and you'll start to see things fall into place.

Maybe you should get to the root of your problems first and realize WHY you are feeling depressed/lonely. Like everyone has said; drugs cannot cure you and self-medication with dope is just going to make things worse for you in the long run.

I have/had the same problem. While I was working on everything else I was on Hydrocodone. Try it. Much easier to get than oxy, and works better for what you're looking for, at least in my opinion. But like everybody says, it's not a CURE for your problems, just something to help with the symptoms while you look for a cure.

Buprenorphine works great for me. Tried every anti-depressent, tried every drug. Both sent me up and down, to feeling like a zombie to just making depression worse. Bupe has worked very well for me from day one with not many side effects, however if you don't have a dope habit already, might not be in your best interest to start one. But for those that do...

those that do are probably happy with their dope and wouldn't start threads like this?

I'd say smoke weed all the other stuff is only going to make your problem worse , weed might but I know people who take the same medication as you and smoke weed to stay in a good state of mind and seems to work for them.

If you think feeling lonley is bad, wait until you acquire a smack habit (which using it for the purposes you intend will definitly end up with a habit). if you get to that stage, lonleyness will seem like a birthday present in comparison.

Doing heroin to cope with feeling lonley will eventually lead you to a place where you're still lonley, but also skint, and ill from withdrawls. It's not a sociable drug, as you get sucked up into your own head, and the world of your dreams (until you run out).

If you have to take a drug because you feel lonley, try MDMA, and go somewhere that'll have other people in the same state as you. You may well find someone who you have a lot in common with, and end up becoming friends. With smack, the only people you'll meet are dealers, and other people waiting to score

Drugs and Love

I have advice for you from two vastly different persectives that run along the same lines, so listen well:

From a clinical perspective (and not an illicit one - you may only dig yourself a deeper hole this way via the Heroin/similar drug route) - Attempt to obtain a prescription for a benzodiazepine (examples - Valium, Klonopin, Xanax, Ativan, all of which I believe are the most commonly prescribed). Ive been through nearly every SSRI in the book, save the ones that were *just* created within the past year (the amount of time since I stopped fucking with them), and then I found Xanax. Taken as prescribed (dont let yourself abuse these, or at least, too much!=D ) they really do cure that empty hole of lonliness that I am sure has been pervading your mind recently. We've all been there, some more than others, and I think I can claim to be one of the former.
From a personal perspective, which could possibly relate to an experience you might have with it , Xanax relaxes me, creates in me a newfound social compatability with other human beings, and forces me to take an interest in life and explore its possibilities, expanding my thoughts through easier conversation with my fellow humans.

From a humanitarian perspective - and someone else's comment in this thread spurred me to mention this, so props to whoever said it first - is
L-O-V-E, man. I recently fell head over heels in love for the first time in my life and realized, to my utter astonishment, that I *could* (not that I would;) ) cease the use of all other drugs if I could feel the way I do with this girl all the time. She's incredible, she completes me, all the nonsensical stereotypical language you'd hear from someone in love, but let me tell you - it is *true*, it will not lead you down a dark and dirty path, and it
-lasts-. There is no 'half-life' or "tolerance" for someone who is in genuine love with another human being. The sense of lonliness is overtaken, and ultimately replaced, by merely *thinking* of the person in question. Even when you're not with them. It's remarkable.

I may just be undeservingly lucky though, having fallen in love and gotten scripted to 4mg of Xanax a day within 3 weeks of each other. But honestly, I understand your pain and how you want the world to go away. Opiates seem like the easiest answer, but can lead to so, so many more problems than you're trying to "cure" now - not that Xanax can't, but I'd advise taking these things as prescribed exactly for that reason.
But as for benzo's and love, these proverbial "drugs", in the literal and figurative sense, allow one to pursue, and to seek out the world instead of withdrawl and hide from it. Please consider what I've said. One happier person on this Earth of ours is one more step towards the unification of our collective conciousness.

Peace and Best Wishes!

I was in your same situation - ive tried nearly all the ssri's and none of them really worked all that well. now i'm taking 60mg of Cymbalta (its a new SNRI drug .. not SSRI) daily along with .5 Xanax (as needed) ... i also like to use methadone recreationally. the cymbalta is working pretty well...although it did take longer than any other SSRI to actually START working.

i dunno i couldn't tell if you were looking for some kind of "street drug" to cure your depression... or an actual anti-depressant type medication. .. .

let me know how things turn out

It's a permanent "cure" if you can endure using for the rest of your life. You might not end up solving the problem though and the problem will end up solving you.

As mentioned, drugs only give temporary relief.

Methamphetamine, will make you less depressed (at least when your high on it) and will make you more social, which might lead to you making friends (however meth friends are the wrong kind of friends). Heroin will numb the pain, but will make you feel more lonely, anti-social, the ensuing addiction causes more pain than it ever caused pleasure. But i love IV heroin (if you are going to take heroin, the only way to get the full effect is IV, but you can still get pretty high snorting GOOD powder). Some people like stimulants, some people like depressants, and some are "ambidrugstist", in that they enjoy both stimulants and depressants (although in most cases one prevails over the over). Perhaps an IV speedball of cocaine and heroin of good quality would be the best TEMPORARY burst of euphoria, but i wouldnt call it an anti-depressant. If you are seeking some kind of awakening or inward journey, pyschedelic tryptamines and to a lesser extent phenethylamines (tend to feel less sincere, at least to me) may do help you, but i really dont reccomend depressed, especially SERIOUSLY depressed people to mess with powerfull psychedelics, as it can worsen the syndrome or precipitate a more severe underlying psychological disorder, such as schizophrenia (no, psychedelics DONT cause schizophrenia, but in rare cases it can trigger your underlying predisposition to organic brain disease)............

If you are clinically depressed, im not talking about sad, upset, broken up with your girlfriend depressed, you should seek help. Supposedly you have to be in a depressed state for at "two-weeks" straight to be considered clinically depressed (according to modern medicine), but this is bullshit. Clinical depression is something that general develops over years, and is often genetic (although a extremely traumatic experience may induce clinical depression, but like i said before, it was probably underlying to begin with). Little is understood about depression, and some anti-depressants can be some horrible poisons. Our medicine essentially uses the "trial and error method" (with an emphasis on error). Some people say these drugs work, but most of them are quite new, with long-term results unknown. A bit TOO many unknowns. One of the better anti-depressants is Remeron (mirtazapine), at least in my opinion. The first few weeks of taking it may feel as if the depression is worsening, as it is quite sedative, and it is notorious for gaining weight by increasing appetite (a large symptom of severe clinical depression is anorexia, and the appetite increase can be interpreted as a sign that you ARE feeling somewhat better, in fact a medical warning for duragesics on dogs is "warning, give dogs food in small increments, as the euphoria may cause them to over-eat"). But remeron has its downsides, although the negative side-effects decrease almost exponentially as you continue taking the medication. But compared to the many other anti-d's, remeron is amoung the better ones. It will certainly help your depression (be it clinical) more than heroin or cocaine may temporarily assist........

This thread is sort of an Dark-Side thread, but i dont think they'd like me taking a dump on them with this post........

I think using psychoactive drugs to counter depression/loneliness ultimately make your problems worse in the end. It's a short term solution that quickly becomes habit forming if you're using for those purposes. You just end up finding more excuses to get high and it becomes a reinforcing addiction.

In the short-term, however, opiates, by far. Heroin and oxycodone, in particular.

^ I agree with davesoviet. Opiates make everything 'OK'. But if you're using opiates to fill a hole in your soul, or whatever, be careful. It's very easy to get psychologically and physically addicted to them.

Oxycodone, hydromorphone, heroin, morphine, demerol, hydrocodone, these all lift your depression. Almost instantly. Thats why it's so reinforcing. And addictive...

i say shrooms. they tend to teach me a lesson about not feeling sorry for myself. they can be a rough teacher at times but its worth it when they wear off.
