Best country in Europe

I luv Estoril N Cascais ( A tourist trap though that's how you pay for those lovely beaches !!) i didn't ever live in LIsbon , i've spent a good few months their but in Portugal , Oporto has always been home for me & that's in the North

The best food in Portugal is usually in the South American Places . Argentine or Brazilian , you have to be Proper Carnivore though .
 
It was really beautiful if you got your head angled right so you couldn't see throngs of tourists, and we were staying in a great little flat on a quiet street we found so had somewhere to retreat to.

I was surprised at how undruggy it was... only hash I saw was in a drawer in the flat (and I left it alone), was expecting open offers from the sunglasses sellers etc.

Looks nice, really nice.

Found people really friendly generally, very welcoming and patient with us English nincompoops, I'd defo go back but I'd want to get a good long list of places to eat in advance.
 
you chose the same as me brimz, VIVA PORTUGAL!

decriminalized and easy to find drugs (of high quality) cheap living, beautiful weather/people/culture/cuisine, tis all good.

i found loads of good places to eat over there, mostly lived on super cheap bbq/grilled sardines... the seafood was good.

I looking to get a villa over there in the next few years

Where did you stay north- Porto
South - Algarve / Faro
Or Lisbon ?

I love the place & the culture although it takes a good while to really get used to

. Never believe the "it's all legal " line because it just isn't .
I'm hoping to spend some time in Porto soon to catch up with some friends :)

stayed in friends villa on the Lisbon coast.. was pretty swanky but i'll be looking for some where much cheaper, probably somewhere in central Portugal where the land is cheap, and when i say looking for a villa i mean a cheap shack. i found drugs easy because i already had the contacts before going so yeah.. might not be as easy i suggested, but the quality and price was good (coke/heroin/hash)

I know a bit of conversational Spanish and found that easy to pick up, but Portuguese pronunciation i find pretty tough to get my tongue around :|

Estoril and Cascais are full of drugs. Jeez, even my old dealer lives there. I'll pack you in my suitcase next time J.

BTW, Slovenia has won this competition.

Spain came last.
 
Holidays in other peoples misery FTW

It's this fair isle for me all the way, probably a little jaded with the mainland;)
