Oh sorry, I misunderstood. Gabapentin and Buspar are very effective for treating anxiety, you should be getting some good effects from them soon.ive just begun taking those 3 new meds,,4 days now , was given xanax as well, but im fighting not taking them, maybe only in extreme crisis,,,,like going to family stuff, i was talking smack not going to et up all this xanax, just feeling weird, comes in waves, right now i dont feel like i did hours ago, its all just so weird, yeah i dont wanna go thru hell, did for a good week off fent and that was such a lesson cuz i never was addicted before, barely smoked pot or drank, im a bit older now and shocked i got caught up in that, but yeah started to get all freaked out and just sought help, and this new doc gave me all these drugs ty for advise and concern
neophy7e said:I guess benzos are just bad for some people.
Benzo can be replaced with a few meds-barb.,but they are even more dangeorus.Gaba drugs for some exten and for a short timeZ drugs -may be initialy to combat insomnia.Alcohol can not replace benzo.Benzo(diazepam/ is for alc.withdrawl...longer period of use could not be more than couple of weeks.@n3ophy7e
There is a class of drugs that is bad for everyone. Some people can't handle opiates. Some people can't handle uppers.
I don't have a huge benzo problem. If I eat one of them, I tend to forget and then have another... so I got a timelock box to fix that problem. Now they are not a problem at all. On the contrary, they are a very useful tool.
I can have a small amount of benzo and it achieves something that no amount of weed and alcohol can achieve. I am an alcoholic because of a lack of benzos. I keep drinking to try to get somewhere that alcohol doesn't take me. Alcohol is the wrong drug for me. Benzos make a lot more sense.
Having said all that, I have had serious problems with benzos in the past.
I think the main problem is you need to treat them like a hard drug.
Everything is a hard drug. That's the best way to look at it.
Marijuana can fuck up your life too.
Yes it is true, some Asian people (and in fact some Aboriginal people in Australia) lack the enzyme that breaks down alcohol in the liver, so alcohol is literally poison to them and they can only have 1 drink before they get the negative effects from it.Yeah, I still think it depends on the person. Asian people (I think?) have a particular reaction to alcohol. They get a red face. Maybe it's certain Asian countries. I'm not sure. But, there's definitely a spectrum of alcohol tolerance versus race.
Lightweights pfff(just kidding) hshshs.Yes it is true, some Asian people (and in fact some Aboriginal people in Australia) lack the enzyme that breaks down alcohol in the liver, so alcohol is literally poison to them and they can only have 1 drink before they get the negative effects from it.
The recommended dosages you pointed out are a pretty good indicator that MDMA is far LESS toxic than meth. That's primarily because mg for mg METH is a much more potent stimulant. In every way.
In all of the neurotoxicity studies I have read the doses of meth administered to experimental animals to induce neurotoxicity is a much lower mg/kg than the neurotoxic doses of MDMA.
All of that points to meth being far more toxic. Not MDMA.
I can tell you from personal experience that 120mg of meth up the nose is far more stimulating than 120mg of MDMA. It is also more neurotoxic and lasts way, way longer.
Worth repeating. In 2002 Kava was almost declared illegal in the US because one or two stories of people who used kava died of liver damage. When it was investigated further these people were on a host of medications too. But kava root was found not toxic on the liver. Some other parts of the plant may be but the root is clear. Thousands of years of daily use says much more than any speculation. If you look at that link I sent you this is the problem this is a myth a major misunderstanding the travesty and injustice which has kept kava off the map based on totally flawed miss conducted studies decades ago which used extracts which contains a range of carbon lactones not present at all in regular kava products.
This particular misinformation out of context entirely has been the primary deterrent for people who have actually heard about it as not looked further but is absolutely unfounded just needs understanding with context like don't ever mix it with alcohol seriously have a look at that link I gave you because it rushes over that and the general logistics of it as well.
