Benzo Effect Category Ratings

I will probably be trying Temazepam soon, thats next on the list with the doc/psych.
Being treated at a state university medical center means, at least I assume, no chance in a billion years of them prescribing Rophynol simply via its connotation as a 'date-rape' drug.

I doubt you'd get it either ;)

I was lucky, only once for a month long ago. (like 7 years ago)

best way to get triazolam is to already be prescribed sleep aids and them loosing their effectiveness

have to say i dont agree with all the rateings though as said to each there owne.Just a note i used to pay the same for 30 mg temazepams as i did for 10 mg valiums and also would rather take five tens than five 30s but thats me,i think i always have loved valium, and yes im on 30 mg temazepams also.Another note ,this must be a states thing ,,all this time i kept hearing about k pins ,,always thought they were some other type of benzo only to look it up yesterday and found out there just clonazepams ,which is one of the benzos im on .
Go figure learn sumthin new everyday ..

Oh ya fergot to say good for you for getting off benzos.
dont know why you were on them but good for you ,im one of those ones that will be on them for life. They have literally changed my life for the better.
Along with other meds i can now sleep and dont have such sever anxiety attacks etc..
And ya it seems im one of the wierd ones likeing valiums.
When what im on is sought after even here in little old brandon people are looking everywhere for clones and temazepams ...
As i think you or someone else stated i dont even get anything from them combined ,upped doeses whatever, the best i get from them is relief from the stress and ongoing mindless chattering of the brain going a hundred miles per hour,no buzz whatsoever...

Thanks slowpoke (and phatass) for the congrats. Appreciate it.

Your not just one of the rare people who like Diazepam, I know many people who prefer it. I think that I'm actually the more rare ones who doesn't like it. I guess it depends who you know. If it lasted longer than I may like it.

^^But from your eperience, your valium taper was mostly painless?

The part that was the hardest was first tapering down the Clonazepam to 1mg but once I got there, I switched to 20mg Diazepam and tapered 5mg every month until I got to 2mg. So that part was pretty much painless. I was surprised. If anyone, including you, is planning on tapering I'd very much recommend Diazepam.

I agree with your list 100% the only benzo you missed out is Bromazepam

It is amazing for anxiety and i rate it 10 times better than xanax. Also i totally agree with xanax being overrated (most overrated benzo imo)

Val's are the kings of tapering although i can't really see any other use for them

this could be a better suited question for ADD but:
Anyone know the difference between benzo's in terms fo their chemical components, specifically concerning having a Cl attached somewhere in the molecule?

Many benzos: Temazepam, Clonazepam, Alprazolam, Oxazepam, Flurazepam, etc have a Chlorine attached, some even have two (Triazolam), and Midazolam has a Chlorine and Fluorine

but for instance, Nitrazepam does not have a Cl

Does the Nitro-group on the phenyl ring act in the same way as an attached halogen, ie a halogen attached to a phenyl ring.

Does the halogen group mediate potency in any way?

Well said. Thats what I noticed too. You missed Bromazepam and Lorazepam. I would rate Bromazepam as being my second favourite benzo, possibly first favourite after Clonazepam.

I just got some 2mg Roche Clonazepam in today a long with my powdered GHB. Seemed to arrive the same day.

I don't want to get dependant on benzo's again, after being 6 months clean from benzo's. (Except for my Phenazepam blackout - where I consumed 90mg of Phenazepam in about two or three days.) Don't remember a thing from that. But anyway. Just about clean from opiates now as well. I just been using a bit of Lorazepam for opiate withdrawal.

When I take the Clonazepam I plan to get a little buzz on though, so I am trying to think of a good dose? What do you guys think? 6-8mg? Even though I have been pretty absent from benzo's they still don't affect me that much.

My tolerance to benzo's previous was pretty much insane. 5 years of Benzodiazepine abuse previous. I've been taking Lorazepam the past two days, just 2-3mg a day though for help with Oxycodone withdrawal. About a year ago I was prescribed 4mg of Clonazepam per day - and I would take 30-60mg of Flurazepam on top of that, a long with about 12-16mg of Bromazepam on top of that, while being prescribed 16mg of Suboxone a day.

Lets just say my Benzo withdrawal was complete hell, as I had previously hammered the fuck out of my GABA-A Receptors.

So, I don't want to get complete blackout, but just a nice mellow benzo buzz would be nice.

never tried bromazepam(benzos listed were only ones i've tried), and lorazepam really didn't fit into any of the categories.
