Benzo Effect Category Ratings

as you may know, different benzos have different levels of effects(hypnotic, anti-anxiety, euphoriant, etc.). i have made a list of which benzos(in my experience) "rank" for certain effects.

here's my ratings of benzos based on qualities/effects:

-most hypnotic: triazolam

-most euphoric: temazepam

-strongest anti-anxiety: clonazepam

-strongest muscle relaxant: clonazepam

-best for stimulant comedowns: flunitrazepam

-most dangerous(impairing, memory loss, etc.): triazolam

-most "intoxicating"(drunk-like): temazepam

-most addictive: temazepam

-most overrated: alprazolam

-most underrated: flurazepam

-best to mix with other depressants: clonazepam

-longest duration(constant peak): clonazepam

-longest duration(metabolites/half live): flurazepam

-shortest duration: midazolam

-most "exotic"/rarest: nimetazepam

-most common(Rx'ed): alprazolam

-most common(street): diazepam

-most expensive(street): temazepam

-least expensive(street): diazepam

-most in-demand: temazepam

-most recreational: temazepam

-least recreational: quazepam

-most "balanced" in effects(hypnotic, anxiolytic): diazepam

my favorite benzo is temazepam; followed by clonazepam, flunitrazepam, nitrazepam, and triazolam. i've never had nimetazepam, but i hope to try it one day.

this is my benzo rating according to category, what's your opinion/ratings on different benzos?

i hate clonazepam lol... to each his/her own poison.... i highly rate loprazolam, midazolam and lormetazepam

I highly rate Clonazepam and Midazolam. I like the 7-nitro substituted benzodiazepines like Clonazepam and Flunitrazepam. Never tried Nitrazepam (because it isn't prescribed in the U.S.)

^^ i don't rate nitrazepam that high amongst hypnotics... you're not missing out on much... but i think y'all would like Lormetazepam...

^ Yup I was on them for 10 years. I just got off by long tapering with Valium. Clean 3 weeks.

If RCs count, like phenazepam which has a very long half-life and high potency from what I've read so might beat some of those benzos on the list.

good job K-D out, i'm sure my day will come too where i will taper off, whether i need them or not, i think at some point you've got to learn to live without them, i'm speaking for myself, some people will take benzos all their lives, i hope not to be one of them, but hey, so far, they have really helped...

as for phenazepam... its duration is too long for many people, i don't mind, it's also very amnestic...

Really, euphoria? From benzos? I've blasted Midazolam many times and never felt "euphoric". Not from any benzo. Midazolam is great though.

I don't get true "euphoria" from benzos either unless mixed with certain other drugs. With the exception of IV midazolam, that was "euphoric" imo/e. It's a brief but strong "euphoria" then quickly followed by a couple hours of sleep and wake up feeling sober though. Other benzos I've tried (all orally) are alprazolam, clonazepam, diazepam, bromazepam, temazepam and oxazepam.

i find the relief of stress i get from benzos very similar to euphoria, allthough i would not say they are sinonyms

^ I like lormetazepam but it's a too short lived hypnotic to be really efficient (half-life is 10 hours). I'm gonna try to have some nitrazepam from my doc, although nothing is certain.

I disagree with your "ratings".

I find phenazepam and midazolam (especially when IVed) to be the most intoxicating ones

And i cannot understand why people are so keen on temazepam. It's the most common sleeping med where i live. I find it to be a mediocre benzo for recreation and very poor as a sleeping aid.

Can anyone somment on Benzo's Most Hypnotic/Sedating outside of Triazolam (0% chance of getting an rx for that)?

I rate Clonazepam quite high for everything but sedation. But again, to each his own. My body/brain just seems to have an aversion or natural defense against sedating drugs.

^ Midazolam is very sedating if that is what you are looking for but PO Midazolam isn't available in the U.S., only intravenous.

Have you tried Estazolam (ProSom)? Flunitrazepam (Rophynol)? Temazepam (Restirol)? I rate Temazepam as most hypnotic but that's because we don't have so much exotic benzos in the U.S.

I will probably be trying Temazepam soon, thats next on the list with the doc/psych.
Being treated at a state university medical center means, at least I assume, no chance in a billion years of them prescribing Rophynol simply via its connotation as a 'date-rape' drug.
