Benzo Discussion Vol. 2

I am not taking any other benzos. I say 10 mgs average but the days get a bit muddled as to how many i have taken.I have taken more than ten in a day,yet other days only 3 or 4 or6 or7.With this muddled pattern of use ,how do i start a taper regime?

The Ashton manual is a fantastic resource, I've tapered twice from 3 figure daily doses of Diaz and I usually start on the low side, some might disagree and urge more caution but for me its a matter of keeping the taper as short as possible but not having a seizure so I'll accept a bit of the pain otherwise I just fall off the wagon.

So if I was on say average 150mgs (just note a weeks intake and average it out) a day I'd start the taper at 100Mgs and go down at first about 10mgs a week until I hit about 30-40 then I start to go down about 5mgs every 5 days, its at the very end I tend to carry on with 5mgs- 2Mgs for a couple of weeks to really taper off


And at the end get rid of all you have, don't keep any for a rainy day or for coming off of stims etc, you WILL end up back where you started.
 
Jeez atm23 taking 3 figure daily Diaz is pretty hardcore in my book.
I don't think I could even function properly at that dose. Or with tolerance build up is it hardly noticeable even at that dose?
I haven't been using Diaz myself for very long really but am already noticing tolerance building up and finding it difficult to avoid taking some daily if I have some to hand.
Methinks that I am gonna have to start being a bit tougher with myself and learn to fight the temptation to use daily.
 
Dose is difficult to measure with illicit non BP pills, I'm basing the number on what Diaz should be in them, I've never manged to find any research on what cheap PK actually contain, but at the moment I have some Zepose, I believe they are Indian and better than the recent PK ones but I've only had proper precribe ones a couple of times and never when I've had illicit to compare.

Dose depends on what effect your looking for, it takes a good 80mgs to get that nodding sleep

I agree its an shameful situation but it is the only thing I now take other then my AD med, I gave up the booze in July, don't smoke (anything) and haven't done stims since April last year.

atm, congrats on being dry for that long mate! Must be hard work everyday, I wish you great success with your benzo taper! You can do it mate, you've beaten booze, although I know it's probably still hard work, you've done it mate! Sounds like benzos are the only thing left to conquer, good luck mate and congratulations!
 
Sounds like you have done really well this year atm23,you must have strong willpower when its something you really want to do. Well done mate, you should be really proud of yourself.
I would like to give up doing the gear but each time I have tried in the past I always end up replacing the Heroin with booze.
I always end up in more trouble with the alcohol than I have ever done with the gear.
Must be great for folk who can remain vice free.

Thanks for the replys guys (and gal). Purely out of curiosity,and i mean curiosity,supposing i just stop,cold turkey,how long before any 'horrors' manifest themselves?

Read that Ashton manual, you are in effect taking a Benzo (I know thats not technically correct but lets not confuse the matter) this is really good information, gold dust to a Benzo user IMO

I don't actually know the half life of Etizolam is about 8 hours so expect to be in trouble within 24 hrs minimum, I think you said you'd been using for about 4 months. If it were me I'd switch to Diaz for the taper if possible as it has a much longer half life and the ride down will be much smoother.

Read through the withdrawal symptoms, tapering should largely remove any chance of seizures, you can't just stop cold turkey the length of the taper depends on the time you've been using and how much.

Totally know where u r coming from. Never used to happen but nowadays its pretty much everyday i wake up thinking ive done something or been some place.
 
Do not just cold turkey it will result in disaster, just taper and keep to plan and u will be fine.
 
Cant comment on e but with diaz its pretyy much the 3rd or 4th day u start getting some 'fear' but after about 5 days u wont beable to sleep properly or be social and just want your stash!
 
had a few blues tonight and feel fucking normal. after the hellish wd's fror a few days its a fuck of a relief hah. Theres no way i'm gonna quit in the short term, if ever
 
Trying Temazepam for the first time today and I have to admit so far Im not that impressed. Taken 60mg and feel a bit floaty but nowhere as good as a couple of blues.

I haven't found it anything like that bad when properly tapered I guess YMMV but your gonna scare the shit outa people postin that!

Im facing the same problem. In order to start a taper you have to be on a consistent daily dose to start with, and then consistently reduce from there. As the strength of the pills is so very variable one needs to take different amounts to get the same effects, so it seems to me its going to be difficult/downright impossible to judge and control a taper on that basis. I am considering paying the extra for the expensive Depas or Pasaden Etizolams for when i start the taper. It seems to be the only way to me. The dose in them better had be consistent considering the price of them !
 
Lol having more insane terrifying dreams from the etiz. Its better than the realistic ones from the val withdrawals i've been having that'd left me unsure of what was real and what wasnt though

I've done all the daft benzo things but i will not ever buy them from the interweb , i mean theirs no point anyhow in my case .
 
Your right no to brimz as you well know! They are so inconsistent in dosage, and that's even if you get what you think your paying for!

That sounds like a great excuse not to start a taper to me.

Just pick the average amount and make up a spreadsheet for reduction (after reading the Ashton manual), in the end you'll get to zero, if it feels to uncomfortable, then hold that dose for a few more days than you had planned, then back to the plan....never work upwards on the dose.

I'm not saying its walk i the park but the method is not complex.

I start tomorrow and there is no going back, I have some really shitty PK imports but they should be enough to stop any seizures, I've made my mind up and I'll be disappointed if I go back on this one.
