Benzo Discussion Vol. 2

Who ever had the 10mg white ones, those could possible be Indian, NOT legit 2mg, Not many people respect them any more, because for a while they were absolutely terrible.

atm23 I dunno how long ago on where you were prescribed Valium in the UK. But 2mg are genrally prescribed now for people trying to get off valium once they reach the 20mg mark, this is so that 5mg dont get on the street, as people wont buy 2mg valiums. 10mg Valium are RARELY prescribed nowadays, as DR's are told they need a bloody good reason to prescribe it.

Hey wcote, how's it going today? I've had 2mgs prescribed before a real long time ago, nowadays drs are told they need a bloody good reason to prescribe valiums at all, good job by the sounds of things!

^^^

Last year and they were 5mg but I was told to take 2 at a time along side Zopiclone and an AD + all the booze I was drinking, but not for long as things spiralled pretty quick and I was soon in residential care.

I was in a very bad way when I presented myself to the GP and she wanted me off the booze but things had already gone to far, makes sense handing out the 2mg ones I guess but I've met plenty of people still getting 5's and the only time I've seen legit 10s was in care where they were getting a guy off GBL.

They won't let me near a Benzo script these days !

Consider that a good thing mate! It's a shame because they are really good for anxiety, I've recently been prescribed pregabalin and it's working wonders for my anxiety and sleeping problems! :)

Does anyone else find etizolam doesn't really send you to sleep?

I've had it in 1mg and then 2mg the next day, but neither sent me to sleep but the day after I was monged worse than if I'd been out all night doing pills and smoking weed afterwards.

Zopiclone on the other hand, knocks me out within 20 minutes but leaves a revoliting aftertaste that lasts the whole of the next day. You can't win.

I haven't tried either with stimulants.

I'm soon going to be trying my luck with Dutch doctors with benzos, I think. I've been prescribed 15x5mg diazepam once before, as a complement to (non-narcotic) painkillers, for a muscle strain. The initial prescription was for 10 pills, and when I asked for an extension, I was told it was unadvisable due to the addictive nature of the drug, but she'd be willing to prescribe five more, and that's it.

I'm going to an altogether different doc now, but my understanding is that in this country doctors are very cautious about giving out drugs - especially drugs with potential recreational uses - and are much more of the pat-on-the-back, "rest for a few days, take the OTCs if you need to" type. I have had prescribed tramadol/APAP combination tablets (with a meagre 37.5mg tramadol per i think 325mg APAP) which were pretty insufficient for my actual pain, and you could forget about recreational doses with those amounts.
I'm having my old Kpin prescriptions and records sent to me from my previous country; maybe they'll be more willing to prescribe something if I can demonstrate that I've already experienced a similar problem in the past, and been prescribed a certain drug for it?

I find them decent for sleep usually, especially after stimulant binges.

Unfortunately prescription is not the only source of such things and 10mgs would even touch the sides at the mo :|

Easy Acidtek, tings are good, going to score soon, wont lose my money this time..... :!

Yeah I would think that the NHS within a decade will want to have Diazepam prescribed for getting people off a Benzo addiction problem, it has a few other uses, but they will want it to be pretty much like Subutex, for addiction purposes. There are other drugs which do a better job that Diazepam.... IM NOT saying it wont be prescribed for other uses, before people throw certain examples!

VolcanoPreston benzo's arent actually very good for getting to sleep....... they are good at chilling you out, stopping your mind going 100MPH, but to get you OFF to sleep, they are not that great...... people think because they help so much with taking stimulants for getting you to sleep, that they will do the job for when you are for nothing.

Funny thing is I was prescribed Zopiclone when getting off Subutex, didnt do a thing..... but I was WD off the subutex.

atm23 was in your shoes about 6 months ago, 15+ x 10mg Valium a day, nothing would touch me, apart from when I was relly tired, had a lot of gear and a bunch of 2.5mg Lorazapam you will get through it. :)

They wouldn't prescribe me anything for coming of my subutex! Said I had too much of an addictive personality, no shit! I found it pretty easy for me to come off my subbies, I tapered to .2 so it was mainly psychological

I'm down to 45mgs a day now, and panning to be pretty much off by the new year, with illicit pills its difficult to say how much your doing but if the pills were dosed proper I got up to beyond 200mgs, tolerance rises so quickly and I can function pretty well, like I've said before "a wolf in sheep's clothing"

I've nothing to cushion the taper this time, I'm off the booze, just got my AD medication (Venlafaxine) I need to get properly clean and sort my head out out this time around or I'll just end up going round in circles or worse. I have some Valerian root on standby if the insomnia starts but that's as far as it goes with any substitute meds.

Agreed getting of Subutex, was pretty easy. 3 nights of crap sleep, my legs ached for half a day, the runs offf course :p that was about it..... painless.

I had worse WD off codeine a few years back. =D (used for actually pain)

Have you considered otc Sominex for insomnia? Pisses over valerian imo. Morning grogginess though. If valerians helping though, stick with it. I used valerian combined with melatonin (sleep regulator) most of last summer, seemed to help.

^^^

Nytol and Sominex don't seem to agree with me, it maybe I have a bit of a weird immune system, in that I suffer from allergy by exposure quite a bit and have acute Psoriasis (although I have that under control right now). They don't seem to work all that well and make me feel like shite.

Might get in some melatonin though, insomnia has been an issue for me for a long time but there are lots of things that have changed so I'm hoping it doesn't return.

Wcote if they were proper BP prescribed diazepam i'm sure you would have been getting something off 150mg a day.

Last time i say this i promise theirs Benzo's and then their are Real Benzos that have the correct dose in each tablet n they are the ones you get from a Chemist either in the U.K or other E.U countries , y'all know the makes that aren't snide.

Actavis , Teva are common over here Ratiopharm in Portugal , Kern in Spain .
Roche are only real if they have been manufactured in the country you got them , i had some in Spain , pack of 30 /10mgs and they were made in Madrid not India or Pakistan .

Your probable right Brimz, but I think you get what I mean when I say I wasnt feeling it. they barely tickled me, I was in an altered state for sure. Im exaggerating but not by much. :|

I wouldnt be surprised if a lot of people from the west country did not have the valies i was taking..... they were rated.

Oh and the Lorazapam I was having WAS legit NHS, and for the equivalent dose, I felt them alrite, as I didnt take it that often.

Im just glad im off them now. :D

Agreed, all I can go on is the same doses would have had me knocked out, so same tabs at supposedly 40mgs I wouldn't be able to keep my eyes open, weeks later and I could bosh 80mgs of exactly the same and just feel a bit relaxed. I only use the mg rating as a scale of tolerance I know when things are getting out of hand when the dose is just rising daily and I get into "smartie" mode

I had a benzo habit this year which was mainly weekends but got a bit out of hand for a finish.I havent taken any in 5 weeks and still feel a bit dodgy.Has anyone else had this experience ?

Ya I understand mate. This experience has given me a real wobble. They are so addictive for me and I still dont feel myself. My memory seems very poor also which is unusual and a bit freaky.im forgetting the most basic of things at times.Im finding it difficult to sit still and relax also.I am feeling better the past few days but the first few weeks were pretty bad.Very little sleep and very obsessive thinking patterns. There a drug not to be messed with.
