A word of advice: Don't mix Valium, Lyrica and Cymbalta. That combo got me a trip on a life flight helicopter and a 5 day stay in the ICU


Speaking of Lyrica --- my insurance provider has refused to pay for it anymore. So now I've got 3 refills of 90 remaining that I am left to pay out of pocket for....which won't happen considering Pfiser just raised the price for Lyrica *snip*

I've never taken Lyrica - but have taken the Cymbalta 60mg/various Benzos (including valium, xanax, temezepam & klonopin) for years. Is it killing me. Please PM me or tell us what happened...

Really? I just moved to the suburbs after living in the city for 20+ years. Helping out my momster, she's getting old and my dear daddy died last year...
What part of Chicago? I am in the NW burbs. I used to live in an area of Chicago called the West Ukranian Village, which was real estate speak for East Humboldt Park which is real life speak for East side of SCARY!

^ I lived all over the western suburbs and the last few years before I moved out to Portland, I was further south in Aurora.

I chose my name because I'd never joined a forum and didn't think I'd be sticking around so I just quickly put something in. I was using a cane at the time because I have nerve damage in my left leg and I am pretty left politically. I've thought about changing my name (staff and crew can do that) since I finally got off the cane after years using it but it's what I'm known by here so I thought I'd leave it.

How do you like the suburbs? I don't know what living in the NW 'burbs is like but where I grew up is so conservative and boring as shit! It's like night and day out here in Portland and I didn't know places this liberal, accepting and overall awesome existed!
 
^^Cane - that's what everyone says about their user name - they never thought they'd stick around and now it's YEARS later!!

I hate the suburbs. I stick to myself. Mainly work in the city. But I like being able to help my mom. It's been really hard on her since dad died. And yesterday we had an incident that if I wasn't here she might not have been able to have gotten help right away sort of thing.....

I was having such a rough time getting a job in Chicago I figured I could move back with mom and putz around until the economy got better and do some temping. There seemed to be more jobs in burbs. Right now am up for 3 jobs - all in city! Can you believe? I can take Metra of course, but what a Pain In The Ass.

Momster said if I get a good enough job and can pay off my bills and stuff she has no problem with me moving back downtown, but I'd still worry!
 
That's really sweet of you to take care of your mom like that, I think I'd rather go into debt putting my mom in a nursing home or something than live with her again :p

Congrats on being up for 3 jobs! I hope one works out and you really enjoy it.

just pitchin' a tent seeing as i've kinda just woke up an all;) sexy dreams and all that.

i'm going well brother, cane. had a great weekend with a few mates watching the football grandfinals, getting on the piss for the first time in a while without picking up a hangover. had a mashup on my mates traktor controller as well, just catching up with each other, spending some quality time together; we both needed it.

how's about yaself? living it up in P-Land, treating your woman right, i hope!

just a little play on overdosing on tramadol - ten/tramadol = tentram. plus i get frustrated easily, chucking tantrums. i was camping outside on my property at the time, in my tent obviously, so it kind of fit in with that as well. ingenious, right?

it's actually monday morning as well, you're livin' in the past, maaaaaaan.

if you hadn't guessed i'm from the future, a place they call australia. and yes, i'm having an extremely lazy day today. i've just made myself a cup of chamomile tea to go along with my cheese and tomato on toast for breakfast and just browsing bluelight for a while. pming a few of my bl pals as well who i haven't corresponded with for a good while.

i've got burroughs' "and the hippos were boiled in their tanks" on my lap which i intend on making a start on shortly (once i stop nodding in n out), and likely finishing today. that's how relazing of a day i've planned. it's nice and overcast here so am praying for more rain to fill up our water tank and give our new tomato plants a drink along with the banana and pawpaw plants i planted the other week:)

i might go ram my tent shortly as well, seeing i'm an animal with anger problems.
 
I guess I was either lucky or just built a tolerance to the GABA-antagonism from tramadol (or just have a really high seizure threshhold), because I've taken 1200mg of tramadol in a day many-a-time, and once even took 500mg followed by 600mg 3 hours later, followed by 400mg 2 hours later...I was on the shit for a year and a half though and I started getting Rx'ed at 400mg daily...

And ramming the tent sounds painful when said in that context lol...I wish I still had the tent when I woke up...that 400mg testosterone deposit from 3 weeks ago wore off lol...
 
christ, that much tramadol? you're lucky you didn't have a seizure...

i felt so uncomfortable even at 400mg!

dear god i'm high as a kite. taken two diccies, drooling everywhere and thi spost is taking forever to write.......... aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh
 
Well, when you can take 100mg of MSIR and still be sitting around a 5 or 6 and not feel high at all...you get to where you don't give a shit when all you've got is a tramadol script...
 
I watched a friend of mine eat 40 tramadol 50mg caps in one go once, I was pleading with him to stop but down they went. He's not the kind of guy you'd want to stop physically and you'd never get them off him so I had to just watch him do it. I was convinced we were gonna end up in the hospital and I wanted to call them there and then. But not much happened really, I was just waiting, watching, convinced any moment now he's gonna seize, but the worst that happened is he kept getting little fit like movements, like a sudden flinch that he couldn't control, he was still conscious and making sense but was getting annoyed with the little jerks that kept happening. Those symptoms started fading after 4 or 5 hours and apart from sweating loads he was perfectly fine. He has since told me that he tried 50 in one go a few days later and same thing again, little physical jerks that last a split second.
Just wanted to share that story, I was convinced he was done for, I've got no explanation how he's still alive.

Hey thanks Cane. When dad died everything went to mom. She's not THAT old but believe me, she can afford the fanciest nursing home on the planet! LOL. However, its the little things - helping take care of the house and stuff. And on Saturday she pulled a muscle in her back so bad that I had to run to the pharmacy and refill muscle relaxants; let her nap; cancel her evening plans; etc. If I wasn't there who knows what would have happened.

I really want Job #1. I'm freelancing there already and boss put in for the budget to hire me + a minion for me to boss around. Otherwise, if he's too slow, I'll take what I can get.

What do you do to enable your BL Lifestyle??
