Bad mdma comedown

Wow I think I may have finally snapped out of it. That was a 4-5 day long deep depression that I thought was never going to end. And this was only after one dose. I will say that during the terrible comedown around day 2, I tried some xanax to help to symptoms but it only helped a bit. But around day 3, I tried some Ativan (Lorazepam) and about 10 minutes later I felt SO much better. Wow that stuff worked wonders for my terrible comedown. I highly recommend it to people who have tried other benzos that didn't work to help the anxiety and depression from the comedown.

^ Benzos can become extremely addictive when used like that.. it's why that's not our number one recommendation haha :\

If you need to take one drug to come off of another... that's usually a sign you're pretty fucked up. I'll admit though, I use them for the comedown... I wouldn't NOT do it haha, if I had them at least. Really makes the next day a lot better... but the people who are at highest risk of benzo addiction are the ones who use it to relieve their anxiety symptoms. At that point, it just becomes a natural tendency to get addicted to the drug rather than to deal with the actual problems causing you to take it..

If they made you feel better, that's great! It's what they're supposed to do haha... but don't let it become a habit of taking them when life throws a curve ball at you, it's natural to deal with tough things in life... it builds character lol. You become a better person by overcoming them, so don't just always take the cop out, is what I'm saying :)

The one thing that is weird though is I have been an everyday weed smoker for the past 5 years. I could smoke all day and just be high chilling on the couch. But now even after feeling better, I take one hit of weed and I get an anxiety attack. Is this because I had that bad of a comedown?

give yourself a good break and put some energy and effort into getting fitter and healthier. there will be plenty of days ahead to consume drugs. take it easy bro

Yes, it is. Same thing's happened to me and most who have experienced lingering negative problems from MD. This in itself can be pretty distressing for stoners as it forces them to change their ways. A life which once revolved around the enjoyment/ relief/ lifestyle provided by weed is gone for a little while, at least. I am very curious about how long this has lasted for people who have gone through long term comedowns..

to be able to smoke without discomfort it took about 8,5 months for me.

hang in there, it will get better month by month :)

haha i've probably got my priorities all wrong... but the awesome, familiar feeling that comes with enjoying a big, fat joint on a nice sunny day is definitely something to hang in for!

Your success story, among others, have been very motivational and have given me plenty of hope. Thanks for your continued contribution beyond the worst parts of this weird comedown experience and hope you decide to play it safe with MD in future

Btw - you mentioned tianeptine played a big role in getting you back to where you wanna be and possibly even doing some repairs? Is this based on an impression you got from your positive experience with it or was there a scientific basis underlying your decision to get started on it in the first place?

regarding the tianeptine, yes, it helped a bunch. i think it sped (sp?) up the healing process. i am not really qualified to recommend any prescription drugs, i took it on my own risk, but it turned out the way i hoped for over the course of 3,5 months.

while i read a lot of abstracts and spent many hours per day googling for hints how to fix my brain, i finally decided to give it a go.

what seemed strange to me was that while taking it i didn't recognized any improvement- after stopping a sudden improvement occured.

best of luck !

Just wanted to check back in. Today is day 6 since I took the pill and I think I am completely back to normal now, finally I thought that something was wrong with me. I only took one blue mint (concave on 1 side). But the comedown lasted 5 1/2 days, wow I did not expect it. I was extremely depressed the first 3 days, questioning my future and my everyday actions. I also had pretty bad anxiety, which led to a few panic attacks. But thankfully that is all over. The one thing that puzzles me is I've taken mdma 3-4 times before but that was 3 years ago. Now I take it and have a horrible comedown, I know you say you don't know whats in the pill. But my friend took the same pill and had no comedown whatsoever. My body must not like mdma anymore I guess lol

Everyone reacts differently to MDMA, and all other drugs for that matter. No point comparing your reaction to your friends'! I know people who have taken enough to fuck up a horse and others who have had negative reactions to a single pill. Take a long break and test in future. Until you know you're actually taking MD, you can't really jump to any conclusions about how it affects you.. nevertheless, a cautious approach is often the best way to go... Glad to hear your feeling better!
