Bad mdma comedown

This past Saturday at around 10:00 PM me and a friend took a blue circular mint that was mdma. My friend rolls every few months but it has been a few years since the last time I rolled. Around 3 years ago I rolled 3-4 times and never had any problems. But this time I did.

My friend started to feel sick to his stomach about 20 minutes after we took it, and almost vomited. But the nausea went away and he started feeling it. After about 1 hour and 20 minutes I suddenly got really nauseous and went to the bathroom and vomited quite a bit. I didn't see any of the blue pill in my vomit so I figured the pill had absorbed. I really didn't feel it like I thought but I think I still was rolling a bit. But all I wanted to do was sit in my room for the rest of the night. My friend who had taken the same pill as me rolled and felt great the entire night.

The next day on Sunday I felt terrible, couldn't eat and had depression and anxiety occurring. Today is now Monday and I woke up feeling almost worse then the day before. Extreme depression and continuing anxiety, also I haven't eaten all day and still am not hungry. I am thinking about going to see a doctor because I just cannot put up with this feeling. Is this from the pill? And will it go away?
 
If you didn't test your pill, you can't be sure it was even MDMA, which may be why you got sick. Depression for a few days is typical of an MDMA comedown, it shouldn't last very long.
 
But my friend took the same pill as me and he did not get sick and does not have the depression symptoms
 
To be fair, if he actually took the pills he's talking about they are very good MDMA pills... some of the best in the US.

MDMA often makes me throw up, and that is with product that is very thoroughly tested. Test kits can be found very cheap in my signature, though. It's worth the additional security to know you won't get some awful Research Chemical.


In the end though, the answer is the same either way. You'll get over it.. life goes on :)
 
Hang in there dude, your simply experiencing a comedown from the MDMA. It will be gone in a few days dude.

Untill then my advice to help you along and help speed up the process:

1) Sleep. Good quality sleep!
2) Lay off any drugs.
3) Food! But not just any food, try eat healthy even if its hard. Foods that are high in "tryptophan" which is an amino acid precursor to serotonin which your lacking at the moment and causing your off feeling.

Follow those steps and you'll get there :)
 
Thank you for the good advice. I try eating but I have absolutely no appetite so I've been trying to drink cranberry juice. It's already been 2 days though, how much longer do you think that this will last?
 
Cranberry Juice is actually quite good in your case, while the psycoactive effect from the MDMA is gone, cranberry juice will help flush it out of your blood quicker along with any other amphetamine in you. Theres also the benefeit of anti-oxidants in it. I personally use it whenever I need to flush amp out of my system.

Trust me I know you dont have an appetite, but you will be surprised how much of a difference it will make - atleast TRY and get something nutritious into you, if you still have cotton mouth which you shouldnt, bit of liquid when your chewing whatever it is. A personal favourite for your situation, liquid foods such as yoghurt and custard, throw in some protein powder aswell if you have any. Try going a few days without food sober and you'll see how shit you feel, same situation only you really need it in you right now. Maybe get yourself a multiviatamin from the chemist aswell, dont overdo that, just take the recommended dose.

It varies person to person, and there is the possibility that there could be a batch similiar to the mints that have something else in them, moral of the story test your pills regardless. Your only on Monday dude, you'll get through it in a few days :) Best thing is to not think about it, go spend some time with family, friends or a loved one, surround yourself with people that matter or keep your mind occupied and busy, go for a walk or a run, head to the gym, nows a great time to take up a hobby, do something interesting. Get your mind off it dude.

Theres another option you can also take, I'm not sure which country your in? So it will vary whether or not you can get it OTC, but try searching a few chemists and health food shops for whats called 5HTP, if you cant get that, try get tryptophan. 5HTP the precursor right before serotonin and many people take it on comedowns/through the week to help them and, whiel I can not comment myself, many people comment that it works wonders.

Also, dont go on any anti-depressants as if you tell the doctor your situation I can garauntee you thats what he will push you onto, and it wont work, rather hinder recovery.

Personally, in your case I wouldnt roll again, but if you do, test your stuff please thats for your own sake and anyone else reading this.
 
Definitely not touching it again. I have some 5htp laying around, does anyone know the best time to take it?
 
I don't have any personal experience with using 5HTP, but from what I have come accross in terms of other peoples opinions is that when 5HTP is taken around nighttime that it aids in sleep due to it being converted moreso into melatonin whereas if taken when waking up it is converted into serotonin moreso than melatonin. Im not sure on how valid that argument is or if it holds any truth, you could always try to see if there is any difference.

Ultimately take it whenever, take it now if you cant handle it anymore it will help.

Are you having a hard time getting sleep aswell?
 
I forgot to mention that I am a everyday marijuana user of 5 years. But after this experience every time I smoke the anxiety instantly comes on. So I haven't been smoking since, which I think is the smartest decision. But I am beginning to wonder if not smoking is increasing my anxiety.

I took the 5HTP about an hour ago and it slightly took away the anxious feeling in my chest. Which is a relief for now. As for sleeping, last night I went to bed earlier than I usually do. But I ended up waking up in the middle of the night 3 times and didn't get as much sleep as I normally do.
 
Yeah I was actually comming back to this page because I forgot to mention that little fact about weed which you seem to have found out...

Me personally, weed used to be fine for me and I enjoyed it occasionally. After using MDMA, weed now brings on anxiety for me - I never had a problem with it before ever touching MDMA.

It varies person to person, but weed is a tricky one in terms of anxiety. From what I've seen, some people can smoke weed all day, everyday, for years and not suffer any ill effects, some people smoke have smoked it and been fine but after so many times of use found that they have actually developed issues with anxiety that they never used to have and weed makes it worse for them and induced panic attacks. Me personally like I said I was fine, but after pushing the MDMA use a bit to hard which bought alone its one problems, weed became my worst enemy and would give me anxiety/panic attacks and derealisation and I have seen the exact same thing in people, even with my knowledge of it and known it is merely the weed causing it, it still happens. There are however a few strains, or a particular one, that is helpful in combatting anxiety. Im not sure which strain it is and havent ever had any weed that reduced anxiety for me.

My reccomendation, stay away from weed until you feel back to yourself completely, you don't want to get cocky and think your on the safe side, toke down a fat blunt and find yourself absolutely mashed and ridden by anxiety.

5HTP is your friend here! Have you tried eating anything since? Please try!

Yeah the sleep thing doesn't surprise me, taking 5HTP around morning time to help your mood throughout the day should raise your mood, at night 5HTP might benefeit your sleep more as I mentioned earlier.

Thanks for everything, having someone listen and respond to my situation really helps. Yes I ate some fruit and took a protein shake but that's about all I could get down. For now I am just going to try and get some sleep and I am praying that I feel even a little better in the morning

For the reason Folley mentioned about 5HTP is why I myself have not bothered using it, however there are thousands of people who use it daily and have been doing so for ages. In your case, I would reccomend it if you want to use it to get you out of this seemingly harsh comedown and in terms of long-term effects I wouldn't worry about it at all you won't suffer anything adverse from it with short-term use. Nothing to panic about here :)

Fruit and a protein shake is great. Maybe try and chug down a few carbohydrates aswell. A combo of using MDMA, dancing for long hours and no food really burns through your bodys glycogen stores. You might find if your experiencing a bit of foginess and lack of brain power some carbs might help along with that as it is your brains source of energy.

Yeah get some sleep into you, you'll feel much more refreshed after a good nights sleep. When you wake up, get some nutritious food down.

No trust me you do not want to have a crash/comedown, it is not fun at all.

Today I'm feeling just a little better. But I woke up this morning feeling like I had to vomit but I haven't eaten much so I could only dry heave. Since then I have eaten a banana and some milk, which I have held down so far. This just seems like it's too long of a comedown (3rd day) for only one mint.
 
Might not be the cause but I know 5HTP has potential to cause vommiting or stomach uneasiness, but few people report it and is usually only in excessive doses. Your bodys still recovering dude, just follow the tips and you'll be feeling fine before you know it;)
