Attention ALL Bluelighters : I am NOT jaded.

Jaded? Ya want jaded, like in cynical?
The other day I went down to me GC-MS outfitted lab and crossed some DNA from a crusty feral hippie skeleton I had hanging in the closet with the scrapings of raver-gravy that had stuck to the bottom of me shoe after I stepped on a love puddle at the last party I went to about 5 year ago, and added some PLUR crust from some old panties stuck under the couch cushion. Nothing seemed to be happening, so I remembered I was in Australia and stuck a Chupa-Chup in the mix.
BANG – after the incense-flavored smoke cleared, I realized I had created a cAnDyRavEr who subsides on degreasing solvent mixed with drain cleaner, clown-branded processed meat and potato products, the cheese dripping from trance music, the “like the most heroin and coke filled E pills dude” which it plugs, and at this very moment, is selling its ass on the corner for whipped cream dispensers, betwixt demanding to be taken to the Britney Spears doof - in the bush, naturally.

come on mr sammy,
remember that extatic feeling just as the drugs take hold, and your transported into that fantasic world where everyone is just like you, and they feel their own special love towards you? remember that warm fuzziness of a hug from a stranger? that look on everyones face that they too are thinking and feeling the same as you, and sharing in one communal experience?
*Peace
*Love
*Unity
*Respect
*i love you all*

Mikey : you're not jaded. I feel the same. The whole going out thing isn't so new anymore and i know alot more than when i first started going out. Now i don't feel the need to go out every weekend and fry my brain, mainly i go out straight and enjoy it even more because it's a more "real" experience. My mind isn't clouded by the drugs in my system and i know that *some* people are only saying things cos they're fucked up.
Don't think you're jaded cos you're not. Things change and the way you think about things changes, it's just a change and it's not jaded.
peace

*stares in wonder at the banana which just appeared in his hand*
*blinks*
Am I sposed to do something with this to that Greenlighter? .... *shrugs*
Anyways, I wanna be jaded too! Can I? Can I? Huh? Can I be jaded too please?
...Pffft...
The day someone calls me jaded is the day they get to experience a banana plugging...

I've been raving since 1994... haven't got jaded yet but I've always tried to keep a little restraint in there. Gotta say though I just can't stand it when people go on about the good old days... they weren't any better or worse, just different.
Keep it real, go out when you want to and you won't get to the can't be fucked stage.

come on mr elver,
i havn't been doing this whole rave thing very long, but there is no way that i'll ever call myself 'jadded'.. come on.. just look at all the smiling faces around you.. that wonderous sensation of a song you know being played, and looking at you rolling friends and just knowing..
you guys are just a bit sad i think.. perhaps its time for a break?

superPLUR XtC PrinceSS*69: Oh how I want to know who you really are. I reckon its one of 3 people. cmon, fess up

WHY DOES EVERYONE KEEP SAYING THAT I'M SOMEONE ELSE!!!
CAN'T YOU MOPEY OLD 'HARDCORE' RAVERS JUST ACCEPT NEW PEOPLE COMING INTO THE WONDERFULL SCENE WITH MAKING THEM FEEL ALL ALIENATED AND UNWANTED??
I THOUGHT THE WHOLE IDEA OF RAVING WAS TO MAKE OTHER FEEL WELCOME AND COMFORTABLE.. SOME WELCOME I GET HERE..

supaplur: It just seems a little TOO coincidental that you would decide to join today, and that your first post is in this thread.
If you ARE for real, and spreading the love like think cream cheeze, then wh00t to you

I don't know, I love the scene and the music, but my attitude would often be described by others as falling into the 'jaded prick' mould.
Personally, I don't think I can be jaded... Because I have been this cynical pretty much since primary school. Everybody has their own style, just because it doesn't involve khandi and plurification doesnt denegrate the special meaning it has for you.
Don't take anything too seriously, because who knows? A 767 could impact with your office bulding tomorrow, so you might as well spend your last moments mooning the pilot...

now i know that not all greenlighters need an initial arse raping to welcome them to bluelight, but this one sure as fuck does..
back to the topic, i totally agree with you MikeySammy.. its hard to change your place in 'the scene' with being accused of being jadded or 'over it'.. hmm.. i think that this falls under the general banner of diversity being a good thing..
not partying every weekend has to eventually become the equilibrium state for me, simply as the drain of constant partying does not allow me a full recovery (personally, i'm sure there are many of you that can go week-in, week-out and still feel as tho your refreshed and compfortable.. you i envy).
once again, *raises hand* in the name of diversity..

don't know about you people but what I find is that when I was wraped up in raving, I couldn't help but form a mindset where raving and ravers (& therefore I hee hee) were just so 'cool'. I found that your typical Uni student that either goes pubbing or clubbing or whatever else was hard to relate to, and I kinda felt really differentiated to them.
Having a break from the rave scene, and going out to pubs, Uni functions, Monty Python video nights etc, helps me appreciate other people and their choice of recreation more. This way I am not critical of non-ravers. They do have heaps of fun too.
U know what I mean? I just strive to be open minded I guess

In know what you are talking about. I have a pretty close involvement with uni campus life, and most of the people have no idea about raves, tekkers or anything else. But hey, fun is still had. Its universal.

superPLUR XtC PrinceSS*69.....are u related to big kev?..or maybe chookE??
