Aww spanx, mariposa! You are definitely spot on with the sexual deviancy. ;) Though, I'm not sure about the caretaker position. I don't find myself to be terribly nurturing. Though, in the past I've had some co-dependency issues, so perhaps that is where it's rearing it's head. Thank you for your analysis. I really appreciate it!
 
haha, you guys are great! i have never seen a forum so active in spiritual/mystical subjects; it's great that you've all got some interest in astrology (and my readings in particular). and, of course, THANK YOU all for the kind words, too, it's so flattering! :D

LOL - that's what your chart screams. :D

A Scorpio w/Aries Moon in 1st and Aries Rising... and an 8th House Sun? "Sexual prowess" seems almost too mild a term for that. Chicks (and probably some members of the male gender) dig you. That's a very highly energized combo. Moon square Mars suggests conflicts with women in general but Mars is so well-placed in the 10th that this may be mitigated, or it could also manifest in your parents fighting a lot when you were young. Saturn in the 12th... I have the same placement (though in Virgo) and in my case it manifests as depression, there's no two ways about it - it's a difficult placement and can make one prone to melancholy. Venus in Libra in 6th suggests that the fairer sex can be of use to you with respect to everyday matters and work. The only object that isn't in aspect with any other celestial body is Chiron in Pisces in 12th. That's suggestive of deep philosophical or possibly religious convictions, and also that you have a very deep level of consciousness... it can also be interpreted as a like for mind-altering substances. :D And Jupiter in 5th is lucky for gambling and children... just watch that square to Neptune so that your fortune doesn't fall into the sea. ;)
 
FuturePig, you have large concentration of planents (stellium) in your sixth house.. this suggests that you are a person who values being of service to others. health/good eating may be something you care about as well. since chiron is in house 11, i'm leaning more toward that first statement about helping others.
your sun is in capricorn and your ascendant is cancer. that puts your sun in house 7 (like mine!). relationships of every kind factor into your life more prominently than most other people. you may attract outgoing, expressive partners. also, you probably gain much insight from others and have a genuine curiosity to know more about the people you meet. mercury in aquarius in the 8th house is a configuration that reveals a curiosity in the mystical/mysterious aspects of life and death. you might be interested in psychology or more occult subjects; anything to explain the hidden..
pluto in the fifth house suggests a healthy libido and a passionate sexual nature. venus in the eighth house tells me you are an opinionated person that has strong likes and dislikes, and that secrets and mysteries are part of your life.. you also might have a tendency to pursue romances with mysterious stranger types.. inheritance may be great in your family; there might be precious heirlooms that will be passed on to you. family history probably is more fascinating than sentimental to you.
mars in aquarius in house nine shows a restless spirit. you are an adventure/excitement seeker and probably get bored with routine. overall i would say that you are more influenced by the signs of sagittarius and aquarius, so you might feel as if the capricorn sun sign descriptions you may have read before (such as in a magazine) arent entirely accurate. you are probably still a down to earth, practical person in a basic sense, but you are also much too fun-loving, adventurous, and curious about mysteries in life to be a poster child for the sign of the goat..
 
fairnymph, you are a pisces with cancer on the ascendant. water, water, everywhere.. i bet you are the intuitive type. you base your decisions on your gut or your heart over your head. fantasy and lore might interest you - the kind filled with fantastic creatures.. like fairies? ;) you might have round eyes and rounded facial features overall. venus is in pisces, so i'd say that you come off as quite feminine. you show affection by being sensitive to others' emotions and by giving off an energy of nurturing care. moon in virgo shows me that your passionate feelings are likely to be filtered through an analytical mind. when you express yourself, you like to be concise and to the point. mercury in pisces in house number nine leads me to believe that you are something of a seeker. whether you are religious or not, i would say that you are a spiritually curious person. a 10th house stellium including the sun - i'd guess that you figure prominently in work or lead a public life in some way. maybe you're an activist or a political person. if you were, i'd say that your venus would help boost your success in the public eye, and mars would help you stay driven and focused. chiron in the 11th points to someone who would champion a cause in the name of the greater good. at your best, you see the planet as a large community that should come together. your head isnt too far in the clouds, however- you have a good mix of realism and idealism.

alasdairm, you have the energetic combo of sun in scorpio and ascendant and moon in aries. i's say that you usually have a standpoint when faced with an issue, and have no trouble articulating how you see it. your emotions are probably strong and easily expressed as well. you are likely to be more blunt than others in your expression, which is probably endearing to the right people. jupiter in virgo in house 5 tells me that you are probably the type that approaches sexual matters with gusto and ethusiasm (however, not in a reckless fashion). you are curious and like to try new things. venus conjunct uranus- you have an urge for excitement, thirst for the richness of life's experiences.. you want to see and experience much before you're buried, don't you? perhaps your interests lie in the mysterious side of life, or specifically the mysterious sides of humanity. mercury in scorpio gives you a probing mind capable of much dissection. the only danger is bias. sun conjunct neptune in the eigth house is another indication of a sexual experimenter - you may also idealise your partners or find very classically 'feminine' personalities appealing. sun conjunct neptune may indicate a creative person but also one lacking enough conviction to express their gifts. you may be impressionable and sensitive to musical stimuli (watch out for them psychedelics!)
 
Hey saturnine -- thanks so much! You misread my name (only one Y - fairNYMPH), but other than that, your analysis seems remarkably insightful. I definitely do like fantasy and mythology, though I prefer nymphs to fairies. :D

The religious seeker stuff is very interesting, I actually grew up in a nonreligious house and literally sought out religion on my own, including converting to judaism.

I'd like to lead or be a public figure, but that has yet to happen. I definitely have activist leanings, but I don't think they've manifested.

oops, heh, i guess i'm illiterate. i'll blame it on how busy i was with all your charts.. sorry fairnymph. :\

i hope i did get some things right about each person, but i dont expect everyone here to be anywhere near 100% on astrology..that's part of what makes it fun & interesting to see what you might (or might not) get out of it, anyway, right..? ;)
 
Natal astrology, from what I've come to understand, can only give you perspective on what you are probable to be, do, call yourself, etc. And for only utilizing a specific date and time in relation to planets, I find this method extraordinarily accurate!

I suppose if you wanted a fairly accurate copy of yourself read from the planets, you would need a Stephen Hawkings of astrology, who would factor in predictive astrology as well as every external factor in the universe..

Then again, even when you take personality tests they tend to change depending on your mood at the time, and over time they will shift and morph. And considering that everything is taken from a subjective eye, I applaud natal astrology and their adept interpreters when they do a good job!
 
While looking around the net to figure out the difference between predictive and natal astrology (I thought it was all about prediction? It's obvious I know nothing about it), I found this on wikipedia:

I have to admit I'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to this stuff - but I'm curious to read more about the sort of scientific research that astrology generates.

Anyone know the names of these journals? How well respected are they, scientifically and astrologically?

sushii - short answer: natal=map of the zodiac at your date, place and time of birth; predictive=using techniques to predict the future, related to electional=using techniques to predict the most favorable time to do something (job interview, travel by car, move). I did an electional analysis for my recent move to pick the best time, it showed minor inconveniences but a successful local move. U-Haul screwed me over and I had to borrow a family member's Jeep - it took longer but we got it done, and I was nervous about driving the U-Haul anyway. I'm reading a book on it now in an effort to be able to pick the optimal wedding date/time for my fiance and me.
