Does Meth make you an introvert?
Since bluelight really is the first time I've ever had a chance to read how illicit drugs affect other people ... or how other people chose to use them and how they react to them, I discovered something that I did not expect ... and that is ... I thought Meth did basically the same thing to everyone as it does to me, but I do believe now that I am in the minority here.
If you're in this category, please raise your hand. If not, please let me know how meth affects you:
1) When I use meth, I can FEEL my heart pounding, but a recent visit to the doctor while having slammed a little meth about 6 hours prior revealed that both my blood pressure and my heart rate were 100% normal (120 / 80 and 80 beats per minute). But I can FEEL my heart pounding - sometimes for 30+ hours after hittin meth.
2) I'm WIDE AWAKE after hitting meth. But at the same time, I don't have the energy to do anything physical - AT ALL which leads me to ...
3) I get VERY introverted when i'm on a good meth high. This means I can write well and for many hours, I can work on my computer and do "brain activities" like writing code, organizing lists ... anything which demands mental activity.
4) I feel unsatisfied unless I'm actively participating in #3 or unless I'm engaged in active conversation which has more meaning than, "how's the weather" ... In other words, if I just sit and watch TV, I begin to quickly feel depressed and useless. I have to be exercising my brain and working on things that have solutions.
5) NO APATITE AT ALL ... If I eat, I have to force myself.
6) DEHYDRATED AS FUCK - even if I drink water like it's going out of style, I always have a dry mouth no matter what. I have to have water with me when I engage with other people so I can keep my throat hydrated so I don't sound like I have a mouth full of powder when I talk.
All of this leaves me feeling and acting like an introvert while on meth because I'd rather be in my head than anywhere else until the meth leaves my system.
So how about it? Anyone else like me out there? Or can you hit up on some meth and go dance for 12 hours - being the social butterfly ... or chop wood for days, or do anything that places a demand on your cardiovascular system? Because for me, it's all about the introverted - mental path while on meth, not the physical.
