My psychiatrist's office in Deltona (between Orlando and Daytona Beach) just recently adopted a policy of drug testing every single patient every time they visit, immediately before scheduled appointments. Every man, woman, and child gets their choice of either a 12-panel urine specimen or a saliva sample. This is not a pain clinic, but a regular psychiatrist+psychologist and/or therapists' practice. They do accept straight Medicaid though.

They are then *all* shipped off to be thoroughly examined in a laboratory setting. Nothing slips by properly conducted GC/MS. Whether it be Fentanyl, or MiPT - my office now orders for your secrets to be revealed. I'm transferring elsewhere before my results come back in, definitely going to have more than enough good stuff in my saliva to get kicked out damn it. If I'd pissed in the cup there wouldn't be scripts this month.

Fucking DEA must be riding them for giving out too many scheduled meds like my *legitimate* pain specialist. Why not do this? Now those (idiot) kids who flush/sell their meds will get busted when they come back to a drug screen, abusers of anything not RX'ed are pretty much fucked as well. Oh, and last time I checked, approximate drug concentrations can be detected in urine so the doc may know if a dose was clearly too high, or too low. Those pigs would crawl all over an idea like that.

This doctor was practicing for '30 years', but seemed to be without a license for a good deal of time. Only 6-7 years back in any practice, I suspect penal action was taken against this one. She's just too spooked not to have learned the hard way. You don't know what you got 'till it's gone, right?

My psychiatrist has since stopped prescribing IR stimulants for those older than six, and doesn't write anything 'off-label'. Phooey. I bet the amount of Vyvanse/Concerta she hands out must be through the roof. I had to beg for Dexedrine spansules over the course of months, and then got knocked back to Vyvanse because of the shortage apparently.

The game is growing harder and harder, and I fear more (outpatient) mental health facilities may opt to screen their patients in order to please their superiors like this high-volume office. Just a warning to my fellow FL residents who are currently working in the mental health field, good luck out there.

Jeez, the amount of BLers who voted here that are from Florida is astonishing.

Ok. I seem to be doing something wrong here. Why are my posts being deleted? I guess I will revise my post yet again.
Here goes:

I just moved to Florida.

I hope this one doesnt offend anybody.
Thanks
