Are Raver Accessories Grounds To Search A Car? Please help!

...and remember that a non disclosure agreement not to publish the details etc would problably include things like public notice boards like... Bluelight!

Don't take the settlement.. If they are offering it to you already, they know that you have a good case.
You'll have to spend a bit more money to go to court, but if all the facts are as you say, you have no prior offense, no change for a postive drug test and photo's etc..etc.. to back up your case then your better off going to court.
Maybe you should look into seeing if anyone else in your area would like to join your case? I'm sure others have been abused.

DON"T TAKE THE SETTLEMENT. fuck the money. tell the NEWS. call the tipline for the local news station and the paper. if you do this right , you might even end up with more money then they offered. If you fight for this , you could help prevent this from happening to others.

I think some of you (above) are not being fair to Mokie. What if he were offered a settlement which would be enough to pay for four years of college at the best school he could get into? Or could be used for something equally worthwhile? [Sorry Mokie, I don't know how old you are.] Is it fair for us to ask him to turn that down?
Just because it doesn't go public doesn't mean there are no consequences for the city/state. That money and the lawyer fees have to come from somewhere, and it is the threat of such costs which encourages cities and states to reign in their police, enforce sexual harassment laws, discrimination laws, etc.
The facts that Mokie took any legal action at all, and that there may be a settlement, are both great accomplishments.

Edited, unproductive cop bashing and threats. I have problems with law enforcement too, but if you resort to threats and retoric you make the problem worse
