Anyone seen methamphetamine in the UK/Europe?

If someone was selling, people would buy. Methamphetamine has far worse publicity and social stigma in the USA yet still is massively popular since it's an epidemic. Epidemics are catchy. Someone could kick one off over here no problem.

ive heard that meph n methylone show up as being amps but not to sure about mdma? although if this is the case you'd think they'd of already knew? there what.. 15+ years of research on mdma?
 
Mephedrone and methylone do yeah. A certain UK vendor in the beginning of the Drone Age™ had his entire supply stopped at customs as they thought it was methamphetamine, funnily enough the same guy who got all the hassle about having an HR forum on his legal highs website.. go figure.

There has been small batches of meth about the UK, when I had it first it was UK made, usually it's just batches been imported now small time via a certain sketchy website though. Surely if there was a proper demand we'd be flooded with the stuff. It would certainly sell.

my wife used to work at a homeless shelter, they had a load of swabs there all the time. Was before we had a child, remember trying to get a "full house" on the swab test after a weekend, (think there were 6 possible, simple dip-tests) and amazingly got methamphetamine positive whenever we'd taken E.

Yep. The first screen doesn't specify what you've taken - it indicates the presence of certain compounds which are metabolites of a variety of different amphetamines (including amphetamine, MDMA, MDA, and drugs of the cathinone family). If they want to, they can determine with some certainty what it was with chromatography.
 
I live in uk and spent just over 2 years hooked on crystal meth in a big way. I live out in the sticks and was introduced to a guy that lived on a farm and cooked up loads of it in a barn, miles from anywhere. The most insane 2 years of my life, the stuff is pure fucking evil but at the time you just dont realise it.
Then one day, he was gone. Disappeared overnight, never saw him again. Haven't seen him, or methamphetamine since.
 
My father was an avid tweaker for many years so it's definitely around, I think the price compared to 'speed' puts people off, even the best putty speed is half the price of shards - Meth isn't exactly the 'drug of the recession'.
 
Agreed from what I can tell, meth in the US hit like a second wave following on from crack. Its way more cost effective than crack but then what isn't, it would only take a concerted effort in production to get a foot hold in the UK IMO. It can only be a matter of time ....

That's pretty mental. Did he cook up enough to sell to loads of people or just a few of you? Had he been doing it a long time?

Bet it was a shock to the system when that came to an end..
 
That is absolutely mental! What happened to the guy? Love stories like that. How did 2 years of meth (ab)use effect your health?
 
Well i was a really hard amphet user before that, so much so that an 8th of base would just about get me out of bed every morning. But when i first did a line of crystal at this guys farm it was like the first time i ever did billy all over again. There was around ten of us that scored off him, he was such a meth head himself that he cooked for himself and sold to make money for more ingredients. I came out of that 2yrs a fuckin wreck, and completely insane. I'm 6 foot 2 and weighed just over 8 stone, my skin resembled a dog with mange, i had tics and would move around like someone with tourettes.
It was really strange, we went over to score one morning like normal, bypassed the house (which wasnt his he was lodging with a cousin) and went to the barn and all his cooking shit was gone except a few glass jars and a few other bits. Knocked at the house and his cousin said they'd got up that morning and all his stuff was gone and so was he. We were like "FUCK".
The only thing i could think to do was go and score some regular old speed and see if it'd help with a 2yr meth binge crash that i knew was coming. It didnt, i felt pretty much like i was dying for about a month, and even after that i wa depressed and lacked any motivation and happiness for another 6.
I still dont know Where the Fuck he went and to be honest i dont care, im actually glad now he did Fuck off. If i ever came across meth again i would be really cautious, if i did it at all. Tho i probably would if i stop kiddin myself.
It differs to normal wizz in the sense that you fiend for it like crack, yet instead of a day long binge its a ten day long one each time.
 
Hopefully lol. It's definitely on my to-do list. It's probably about the only drug that I haven't tried that I'd really like to.

Dread that's some story mate. I've only ever tried the stuff off an online guy, he was the cook though £75 a gram which I mostly smoked. Would happily do it again but I can't imagine what 2 years of meth abuse would do to a man. 2 days and your fucked for a week after, half the man who entered the binge.

I always find the stories in the US of what happens around the heavy meth abuse scene interesting. It's fucking savage aswell like, but it makes me wonder what would happen if it became so available in the UK. Having witnessed what the mephedrone boom did to a lot of people it would be absolutely crazy. I'd say we're generally worse fiends for most things than they are in the US, meth we just haven't had the chance yet.
 
Yeah but if you had the gear, after the 2 days instead of crashing you'd just put it off with More meth. Before you know it you've been doing that for months, grabbing the odd few hours sleep here and there. Its mental stuff man, the stories aint exaggerated. This was 5yrs ago now, not had even a sniff of it since.
 
How's the health since then?

I can't imagine operating on that level of psychosis. I have absolutely no interest in being a daily drug user anymore. I used to do stims for weeks with no break but these days health comes first, I like being sane too.

Knowing a meth cook in person could be pretty fatal though lol. What did you pay a gram may I ask? And how much meth a day etc? Never heard of anyone in the UK who's done much of it really, interesting.

People have made various attempts at trying to create a meth market in the UK, in all the major cities. It just doesn't seem to catch on thankfully. Maybe our criminals are just lazy or lack the gumption to set up multiple labs to flood cities to the point that people can get it frequently. That, or meth crazes come about when crack and smack are unavailable or prohibitively expensive. In the US it is more popular where it's difficult to get smack and crack, and it's the same story in Australia. It's been a similar pattern with drug use all the way along though. They banned beer, wines and normal spirits during prohibition, and out comes near 100% proof alcohol. They push the price of cocaine up dramatically in the 70s and 80s, and out comes crack for all the inner city dwellers to enjoy. In Russia they push the price of smack up to extortionate prices and they start doing that krokodil shit. In the UK there is a mdma shortage, and out comes mephedrone. If the government ever gets a proper handle on the crack and phet market i'm fairly sure methamp would rise in popularity to plug that gap... People want to get high by being hit my a hammer, not a sledgehammer, but when there's no hammers a sledge hammer will do. People aren't going to go for something weaker like caffiene, but they will go harder.
 
I think at the moment the people with the ability & resources to "flood the market" with meth just simply don't need to. If you're already shifting as much cocaine, heroin etc as you possibly can then why would you need crystal meth and the extra risk associated with creating a new market? Like MSB's just said, we'd probably see it kick off more if there was a serious lack of other drugs (like in Australia).
