Anyone else hate suboxone?

JOANNAESCHIMPO and SIXPARTSEVEN are the people to be listening to. Suboxone has been a verry good thing for many people on dope and major ammounts of pain killers.
Hell I just started the program and for the first time in 8 years I can finally live without having to get a fix before the day can start. I dont even have an urge. I couldnt say that on methadone. Oh heah and as far as gettin high, if you want to do it take a few small doses insuffulated spaced 30 min appart.
I sugest you use them as perscribed tho. If you dont like them give them to some one who is hurting and needs them for what they are for. Getting off the shit.
Thats my 2cents

You know I guess this stuff kind of helped me out. I do find it nice that it last along time, it is easy to taper, I went from 16, to 8, to 4, now I just gotta make that jump to 2 which I'm going to do. Anxiety meds helped me alot with this stuff.

However even though I might be getting off suboxone. I would like to say that at low doses it works very well!

The reconmended dose is 16mg's that's way to high. Hell no I never snorted that shit. It's orange pink shit. I would throw up.

Talk about stupid people with no tolerance acting like crackheads for this stuff.... It's fucks people up with no tolernance and will make them throw up to.

However I would like to say that being on clonazopam and suboxone theres always a extremely light feeling that isn't good or bad. On a scale of 1-10 I would say this stuff is the best for people in withdrawl.

Methadone is a terrible drug. It makes people have to go to a freaking clinic every morning, I dont think so.

I used to wake up early when I was into pain meds without anxiety meds. But now I still do. However I pass the fuck out.

This med does the trick. The first few days I had it, it did make me feel buzzzed, but then again I was taking rips out of a 3 foot bong. It basically only gives you the lightest opiate feeling. Like you wouldn't feel like you were on somthing but at the same time in the back of your mind you know it's helping you.

What I dont like about it, is the combination of this and clonazopam really mess up my mind. So i'm seeing another Dr.

I think this thread was good because it made me realize that suboxone really did help me, and to not put the drug down.

I really ended up getting pissed recently, but I think that's because I was being a crackhead. ANyways peace.

Now you tell us...if you were switching to suboxone from methadone you should have given it even more time. Methadone's got an insanely-long half life so there was probably still a fair amount of it in your system even 3 days after your last dose. Hence the precipitated w/d's from the suboxone...
Wow 3 days? I took a piss test at my sub doc's office like 24 hr after my last dose of done and it didnt really show up on the pannel. Maybe the oxy kicked it out of my pee.
The doc actually showed me the pannel test and I could decyfer the lines showing positive or negitive on the test. The done came up as 1 and a half lines. 1line = a + 2= - .
As far as precipitated WD I got none and I had the done, oxy, and hydro in me. Oxy was 8 hours before the first dose of 16mg of sub. I planed to tell the doc I allways sweat under pressure if the precip wd's kicked in in front of him.
Good luck to all who actually use this drug for the right reasons.

Snorting Sub lets me take a 1/4 of the recomendeed dose. Hording time.
Oh I gave a friend who ran out of her percs an 1/8 of a pill. She snorted it and was in her words " high as a fucking kite" So sometimes I wish I could go back to the opiate honeymoon stage.

i use it sometimes recreationally. and i absolutely love it. on a very high dose i even hallucinate. it's awesome. but i know if i was hooked on an opiate, that it wouldn't get me high though. when i hallucinated i think i used about 40mg

I agree completely with JC and 6/7 the big beauty of buprenorphine is exactly that Which it lacks compared to methadone

anyway when i used to live in france it was quite a popular drug of abuse , if you have little to no tolerance the effects will be up there with those of heroin , however for someone who has abused full agonist regularely it will be impossible to get very high or very sick (wd) from it whih works just great for me.

shit ay all the physical effects without the high
i nearly OD'ed off it went and snorted 3 of them at once by mistake
my pulse went below 30 i think and blood pressure was real low after only 2minutes it take 2 hours to peak. I have a proper blood pressure one that measures pulse and stuff its electronic and expensive best one u can buy
i then had some uppers and my pulse went to over 200 and blood pressure through the roof.
shit drug and u can't come for 2 days after. :( arrrrr

i agree its better that methadone for comming off opiates but that is not what i want to do. i need osmething in me or im going to freak the fuck out, and i have to take a piss test for two cities and the only thing they allow is suboxone. I did not really mind driving each day the two week i was on methadone. I even got people to trade me there take homes for some xanax so i could get extra high.. i think methadone is the only man made opiate i love. Too bad they took the finanicing away, and the city auctioned my car off for an OWI arrest.

People like me find pleasure in them because they are using them for maintenance or detoxing, and they do both of those jobs very well.

You are taking it and trying to get high, and suboxone isn't good for much of a high, especially after you have used a strong opiate like heroin.

Thats the difference.
I have a sibling who is considering Suboxone -- shes 6 years on Oxycontin. Do you enjoy the feeling or is it the freedom from addiction?

Does it get you high at all?

Thanks!

Suboxone has been a life-saver for me. I was on MMT for nine years at 270/day. I got crosswise with the clinic cuz I tested positive for benzos. I was desperate for sleep and got tired of being told to take benadryl....so I used xanax.
They knew my work schedule didn't jive with the clinic hours, but forced me on no-carries =, report every day, etc. My first work week....I didn't go in cuz I was working. They called the following Monday and told me I was not in trfouble and to come in. So I drove the 25mi in, only to b e informed I was d'c'd. They refused to dose me, pay me the $340 in my ac count...out on the street with no detox.
I found it interesting that, when I asked about getting off, they told me the safe way was to taper off 5mg/mo. Yet, if you couldn't pay, they tapered you by cutting your dose in half each day. Doesn't quite add up!
I had stockpiled a bunch of biscuits and triked to detox myself....dlo NOT try that!!! I was able to get on suboxone and have done fine for 11 months.

i love suboxone

you threw out 300 pills?! they cost like 6.50 a pill still!! dont they? thats $1950

No high. Just a 'normal' feeling. Whatever 'normal' is after years of opiate abuse.

Like mostly all perscription drugs there is chance of addiction. I have tried Sub in the past on my own with out doctors consent to kick a opiate habit and it never made me feel 'high' but like the person above said more like a 'normal' state of mind you enjoy while on opiates. After years of abuse you become adjusted to this 'normal' feeling that you continue to chase.

Like methodone sub also has the potential to become habit formaing so I wouldnt recommend long long term use if you can go with out it after a week or two. See a doctor licensed for perscribing suboxone.

When I was shipped off to rehab my parents threw out nearly 300 (2mg) subs that I had stockpiled :(

Not that I wanted to use them anymore...I could've made some good money selling those off.

Anyway, all sub "maintenance" did for me was help me to maintain a dope habit without having to deal with long-term withdrawals. Then again, it was never my intention to actually quit when I got on sub maintenance so take that for what it's worth.

If it helps you live a better life than what you were living beforehand, then by all means embrace it. Like others have said though, don't expect it to get you high because it won't.

Suboxone works great for me. It doesn't give me a rush or make me fiend for more, but it does give me a subtle high and a lot of therapeutic benefit. I think the main reason I ended up hooked on opiates was because of their anti-depressant and anxiolytic properties. I can still get these positive effects with suboxone, so I really can't complain. The only people who seem to complain are those who have really high expectations for the drug. Personally, after having tried drugs like kratom and/or tramadol as a withdrawal aid, I think suboxone is a blessing.
Right now I'm just maintaining at a relatively high dose per day. It is going to be hard for me to taper down if/when I'm ready, but I'm not too worried about it. My doctor doesn't seem to be in any hurry to get me off this shit. It is addicting on it's own. The withdrawal from buprenorphine isn't usually intense, but it can be long lasting. If you can manage to get to 2mg/day or less then quitting isn't as hard.

Ugh..

I hate Buprenorphine for a variety of reasons. Suboxone maintanence was just as self destructive as illicit Heroin. Methadone > Buprenorphine in my book anyday.

Getting high on Subutex is the new global craze. Tem-Tem's (Temgesic and Temazepam shots) and so on. The pissheads and micks and Caucaus mountain people really love it.

I fucking loathe it. I have been in a maintainence Sub program 3 times now, and have ended up relapsing each time. I started on 16mg this time around. I still feel depressed, anxious, have severe insomnia and I still spend every minute of every day thinking about drugs and booze. I feel like I have lost the ability to function normally. And I have tried every dosage available to me and none of them abated any of my PAWS or cravings, and I always take them as prescribed. And don't get me started on the headaches!

Compare this to my 6 months on methadone before I decided that it was just too expensive. I was working 70 hours a week and doing very well at it, saving money, my relationship was going great. I never got high or even buzzed off of it, I just felt a little more "balanced", and had enough energy to get my shit taken care of during the day. I had no cravings whatsoever, and slept like a baby almost every night. I was finally happy being sober from illicit drugs. I really, really miss the days of dosing on the way to work, and by the time I got to the office and grabbed a cup of coffee, I was awake and energetic enough to start the day.

As with everyone else, however, this is all anecdotal. One man's garbage is another man's gold.

Wow somone tell me the naloxone causes headaches again? I had head aches before suboxone from a head concusion, however the past 9 months have been kind of bad. I've had head aches and nothing has shown up on the scans I just took.

The Dr. today told me that my headaches are from my anxiety... I take clonazopam, that kills my anxiety.... So if i'm on 4mg doses should I switch to the one without naloxone or just try to stop it?

I've been wanting/needing to take pain killers really bad lately. Just got shut down by a pain Dr. But then again all of his patients are old and dieing, and i'm 19. So that's a point but at the same time I'm already taking suboxone and clonazopam. So I knew I would be better off with a real opiate. But I signed a paper letting the psychologist talk to him, I really think that's what screwed me.
