I was wondering if anybody else out there who is prescribed Subutex/Suboxone has a real "super-sobriety" doctor like mine who won't allow any addictive substance possible. His saying is this, "If you are on any drug that can be potentially abused, you will eventually relapse". He was real hard on me about my Klonopin prescription which I had to lie to him that I was tapering for months until I now just say I take it very rarely which of course he shuns. Now he is getting on me about the Adderall that I'm prescribed, in which he wants me off now. He actually wrote "NO ADDERALL" on a prescription pad so that I'd stop it immediately. He also wrote up a urine test prescription so that he can see that I am no longer on amphetamines. He told me, if my test shows up positive and continue to take it he won't be able to work with me anymore. "Tell your doctor to take you off these drugs or I will no longer be your doctor"
He sees me weekly now and have to take a urine test as well until all drugs no longer show up. I NEED an ADHD drug so I figure switch to a methylphenidate drug that won't show up when I see my psych the day after. No my psych doesn't know I am on Suboxone but there is a reason for that, they don't prescribe things that you actually may really need, abuse potential or not. But thats off subject.
What I really wanted to know was, does anybody have a bupe doctor like this as well or am I the only unfortunate one? Thanks for listening to this.
