So basically hears the situation. A good buddy of mine who I trust very much has recently given me some blotter that he says contains a chemical that is "basically synthetic mushrooms on blotter". He's a relatively intelligent guy and has tried his product and would equate one quarter inch blotter square to about a gram of psilocybin mushrooms. I know there are loads of 4 subbed Tryptamines out there that can produce the effects of mushrooms pretty closely and these RC's can be liquid measured and laid on blotter. I have a sample of 4-AcO-DMT that I plan on trying soon and am understanding of the risks of RC's. my question lies in the fact that he calls it "2C5I (2C-5I?)" which to me sounds more like a phenylthalimine 2C derivative. I have scoured the Internet and been unable to find information on here, Erowid, shroomery, or any vendor's even offering this product for that matter. I'm basically trying to find out if he may have been told something that it is not and if so if there are any testers around that can test for 4 subbed derivatives and give me a clear idea of what I'm working with right now. I've seen people eat this up and unlike most chems on blotter (AKA LSD, ALD-52, the NBOMe's etc) they seem to want to stop after 2 or 3 hits and do claim it to be very mushroom-esque. Just wondering if anybody else has even heard of this chemical so I can get a better understanding of my situation as I'm personally inclined to believe its 4-HO-MET or 4-AcO-DMT as these seem to be the most popular mushroom-esque synthetics on the market today. Thanks in advance for responses.

your friend is stupid if he calls anything 2c-5i. The reason you can't find anything is because he has fucked up the name. I've heard people refer to 2c-b and 2c squared b and shit like that lol. Whatever chemical it is, it is not basically synthetic shrooms on blotter, that's stupid.

Many drugs may feel shroom-esque but will have nothing in common other than making you trip. 4-ho-met and 4-aco-dmt will not fit on blotter so those are out. This thread will probably be closed as it will lead to endless speculation which is not helpful for harm reduction and is also pointless. Ask your friend for the real chemical name and if he doesn't know then he is likely retarded.

Hate to rag on your friend but anybody calling a chemical "basically synthetic mushrooms on blotter" is full of shit. Now he may of been over simplifying it but whatever.

Tryptamines like 4-aco or 4-ho WILL NOT fit on blotter. Sounds like he meant to say 25I-NBOME which is likely because it is very common nowadays. Any art on the blotter? It also sounds like if people are stopping after 2-3 it's probably an NBOME. The experience is not all that mushroomy either, but inexperienced trippers will compare anything to anything as long as it makes you trip.

Be up front with him. Ask for the chemical name, where he got it, etc. Show him that you know what you are talking about. It's not like he has some drug that is unknown to science.

Chemicals that fit on blotter -

5-meo-amt
25C-Nbome 25I, 25D etc.
DOC / DOM / DOB
LSD

Not supposed to ID drugs on this site..but tell him you know it's not a form of mushrooms. Ask for more information.

yeh its the liquid in car or truck batteries...one drop per tab, make sure you put it under your tongue before it eats the paper...good times

Whoa... could Salvinorin A fit on blotter? It's active at 200 micrograms.

Well now I'm the one over simplifying things but lets be reasonable, who the hell would have Salvinorin A on blotter and not be aware of what it is? Do people even put it put it on blotter? I doubt the trip is anything similar to mushrooms like the OP is saying..

On the other hand 25C-NBOME, DOC, 25I etc. can easily be delivered by your mail man in blotter form ready to go.

Ask your dealer what it is, but personally if someone can't even get the name right I wouldn't risk consuming the blotter and who knows what it could be. 2C-5I was probably him mixing up 25I-NBOMe's name, since it's sometimes called 2C-I-NBOMe, so the 25I and 2C-I probably got confused in his head and he called it 2C-5I. It's the only chemical that really appears on blotter with a similar name (though the 2C-X series can be put onto blotter too, it's rather rare at best).

25I-NBOMe is far from mushrooms though and it's a rather unique substance. There are some parallels to the 2C-X series, and it has some of the craziest visuals somewhat reminiscent of LSD - but there wasn't a single part of the trip that reminded me of any tryptamine other than LSD, other than the sheer awe I was in the entire time.

We can't help you identify the substance. Ask your dealer for the full name, and if he can't/won't give you it, then don't consume it. Since this is just going to lead to ID discussion, I'm going to close this. Check out the 25I-NBOMe Thread for more information about this drug if it does turn out to be 25I as would be most likely.
