Sorry it's just guesswork, just I've never had DiPT and the onlt tryptamine with that pattern I've had is iprocetin, which isn;t noticably auditory in effect.Xorkoth

Anyway, I didn't find DiPT to produce any change in the perception or understanding of language. Like I said, I feel that it alters something physically in the inner ear which causes different parts of sound waves to become audible. The deepening of sounds seems unrelated to this, but the change in the character and texture of sounds is also altered dramatically.
Also, DipT produces severe tinnitus, in the same way that occurs when you're in complete silence. It makes me feel like I'm deaf and hearing sounds throufg a filter at the same time.fryingsquirrel

It didn't seem to, apart from making it hard to understand what some people were saying. This seemed do to the pitch be off so far off, which if I'm understanding correctly is not what you mean. Some people I could understand without problems, probably because of the actual pitch of their voice.
