Any theorys about DiPT's (auditory) mode of action?

I liked Shulgins experiment on the piano with his friends in the guest room.

Does DiPT in any way change perception of the understanding of language (hence acting via Broca's area) of is it purely a pitch orientated response. If it's purely pitch, it might be something like an overdrive pedal on a guitar that amplifies then cuts off the subtle tones etc of the sound (tries to make it a square wave). That would be characterized by increased sensitivity of very quiet sounds,

Sorry it's just guesswork, just I've never had DiPT and the onlt tryptamine with that pattern I've had is iprocetin, which isn;t noticably auditory in effect.

I've never done DiPT, but I'm quite experienced with 5-MeO-DIPT, which does not change perception or understanding of language, even at high doses that produce drastic, constant pitch-shifting effects. fact, one of the remarkable things about foxy is the nearly complete lack of a "head trip," even at high doses. I have no problem going out in public and carrying out normal transactions on this drug, and people, even those experienced with psychedelics, usually can not tell that I'm on one.

DiPT and 5-MeO-DiPT share very few similarities in my experience. Most notably, I agree with you that "foxy" doesn't cuase much if any head trip; however, DiPT definitely does.

Anyway, I didn't find DiPT to produce any change in the perception or understanding of language. Like I said, I feel that it alters something physically in the inner ear which causes different parts of sound waves to become audible. The deepening of sounds seems unrelated to this, but the change in the character and texture of sounds is also altered dramatically.

Also, DipT produces severe tinnitus, in the same way that occurs when you're in complete silence. It makes me feel like I'm deaf and hearing sounds throufg a filter at the same time.

It didn't seem to, apart from making it hard to understand what some people were saying. This seemed do to the pitch be off so far off, which if I'm understanding correctly is not what you mean. Some people I could understand without problems, probably because of the actual pitch of their voice.
