Any blues lovers?

I can't believe no one likes Blues music! (This is just an opportunity to vent I guess). Peter Framptons Guitar Circus concert with BB King and Sonny Landreth will be in Albuquerque in a couple of weeks and I'm going...but I can't find anyone who is really interested in going. Granted, I am fairly new to this area so I don't know a lot of people to choose from...but wow.

Does this mean I am old? Does the younger generation just under me not like blues? Hell, for that matter does MY generation not like Blues music? Is it the area I am in? Do any of you go to a concert like this by yourself? (I am if I don't have anyone to go with). Maybe the cost of the tickests are too high for it not being a current top hits type band. I know its not me...I'm still hot..I still party..I'm not THAT old.

Has anyone else been to this concert elsewhere and if so how was it?

I'm 21 and I really dig me some blues, and classic rock, if you like.
That being said, I often feel much "older" than my generation...I hate most technology, it's useless and time wasting...like what i'm doing right now lol.

I also play guitar, probably not as good as Frampton and the King! But at least as good as Jimmy Page after a night of Smack-a-rita's and a bag powdered sugar/Blow-coated miniature donuts lol jk jk but seriously.

I saw ZZ top a while back, good show, worth the trip and all the painkillers I had to take to quell the pain from the long ride (I live a long way from metropolitian areas, so my oppuritunities for good concerts are few and far btwn.

Anywho, the old man is bedding down, so it's time for me to pack the old briar pipe with some BD, plug in my amp and guitar and get in my nighttime practice.
I like to wait to night time so I can get really stoned...I smoke in my house, but only late at night..and while I do that I play guitar (c'mon it's always better stoned!). It's enjoyable though Godbless my family for being so cool about the occasional racket etc..tho I keep it quit at night..even though they don't usually tell me to turn it down..
Cuz i'm good and make pleasing sounds?
Idk, but maybe.

Goodnight, bluelight.

Seasick Steve was pretty fucking amazing when i saw him a few years back.

Caught Bob Log III for about the 10th time, on New Year's Eve. Always puts on a sensational show.

I don't listen to that much blues any more - i first learned to play guitar in a blues style, and then spent years working out how to approach playing in other ways - but my roots are still sort of in the blues.

I've been listening to Junior Wells recently though - and Bo Diddley, if he is considered blues (blues/r'n'b/rock'n'roll - i don't get too hung up on labels).

im a jazz/acid jazz lady by nature, but growing up with parents who loved the blues and also having friends within the scene have grown to appreciate bits and pieces.

i absolutely adore the sound of a local dude; lloyd spiegel. his fingering skills on the guitar and husky vocals are nuts (and he's even moar intense live). :D

Hey, I heard u guise liek bluez?

Haven't dropped in here for awhile. Nice to see this thread is still alive and kickin'. Grab your favorite bottle of cheap whiskey and let the heavy riffs take you away from your lost dog or ex-girl . . .

Just got word the blues above isn't 'vintage' enough for some folk. Well then, I present to you:
