Here is a documentary
Blues troubadour who only had one hit, Crazy Mama. Not strictly blues I guess, more laidback and a little rockabilly or something like that.
He wrote alot of songs other people are famous for performing, Eric Clapton is his #1 fan and his career wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for cale. JJ used drum machines, had a relaxed approach to everything and seems to me like the most pleasant person ever. He's allways on the road and performs extremely well live, the songs are in his blood and he plays them in a different way each time.

Cocaine
By Eric Clapton
By JJ Cale

After Midnight

Let Me Do it To You
Call Me The Breeze

^ Surely Cocaine and After Midnight would be considered hits. They were certainly the definitive versions.

No one loves Blues anymore? BB King, Frampton, Sonny Landreth? im gettting old?

I can't believe no one likes Blues music! (This is just an opportunity to vent I guess). Peter Framptons Guitar Circus concert with BB King and Sonny Landreth will be in Albuquerque in a couple of weeks and I'm going...but I can't find anyone who is really interested in going. Granted, I am fairly new to this area so I don't know a lot of people to choose from...but wow.

Does this mean I am old? Does the younger generation just under me not like blues? Hell, for that matter does MY generation not like Blues music? Is it the area I am in? Do any of you go to a concert like this by yourself? (I am if I don't have anyone to go with). Maybe the cost of the tickests are too high for it not being a current top hits type band. I know its not me...I'm still hot..I still party..I'm not THAT old.

Has anyone else been to this concert elsewhere and if so how was it?

Sure people love blues music, but it's not that easy to get into if you're young and not above average interested in music. It's old peoples music that old people listen to and it isn't played as much. Not on TV and rarely on radio stations young people listen to. As long as you don't think everything that's new is automaticly bad, yer not old :)

Not that it matters in any way. Just be glad you've got some musical taste and let the idiots keep their Flo Ridas and My Bloody Valentines.

I like blues music a little bit, but I'm more of a blues rock fan. Deep Purple and Jimi Hendrix are my favorite blues rock bands.

May I introduce Reverend Gary Davis......master of the Piedmont Blues style. He sounds amazing especially for someone who only used the thumb and forefinger on his picking hand.

The Doors - Crawling King Snake

Syd Barret - Bob Dylan Blues

Not sure if this is really blues, but it's an awesome parody\homeage to Bob Dylan. Syd Barret outDylaning Bob Dylan imo.
