Like, they're always mixing up their words there...Likewise, I really don't get mixing up there, they're, and their.
What's up with that?

yeah, back in the old days we spoke English right?
In the 1960's people would say "right arm" to people who said that to mock the language."Right on" is my phrase that annoys myself for some reason. NLP probably.
Thanks for your insight mate.In the 1960's people would say "right arm" to people who said that to mock the language.
Got any thoughts or observations on how language changes over time? In general or anything specific, I just thought you might have some interesting insightsIn the 1960's people would say "right arm" to people who said that to mock the language.
Well, language is one of my favorite interests. It would be nearly impossible to say anything here as it a very complex, yet intuitive subject and there isn't enough space to even start.Got any thoughts or observations on how language changes over time? And while I'm booming about things I don't understand....what's the deal with the cat emoji that's supposed to mean I don't care?
If I'm trying to say that I don't care about the subject matter, then I guess I care enough to make the effort to comment on it.
If I'm wanting you to know that I don't care what you think, then obviously I care what you think.
Depends on the context
Sometimes it literally means I don't care , or I don't agree with your post
But mostly in the lounge it's a playful expression of disdain
It's actually sometimes affectionate

It is the way of the world, fo shizzle, my nizzles
Maybe most, some are just amused for one reason or anotherBottom line, every generation ( or subculture) is always going to invent some new slang to differentiate itself from others, and the left-out older generations are always going to get bent out of shape.

Yes, definitely. But everyone used to learn from t.v. too.Maybe most, some are just amused for one reason or another
Additionally, as technology changes more rapidly it drives language to invent new ways of expressing these changes even more rapidly than generational differences did in the past.![]()
"Sucks". When I was a kid that was really kind of a bad cuss word to use, on the same level as fuck.
Now of course it's pretty non-sexual and acceptable, but sometimes I feel compelled to say. "Yeah, it sucks, and not in a good way".
There is no gravity, it's just that the earth sucks..."Sucks". When I was a kid that was really kind of a bad cuss word to use, on the same level as fuck.
