Angels: function over form

my idea of angels is connected very strongly to my ideas about (and a few truly uncanny experiences with) synchronicity

Same, in that I find them together.

The wings I have found symbolic, as well, with how graceful birds can be, and how they carry themselves, perhaps, through the air, like our voices. Their flight might connect with freedom, as well, from burdens of our existence here... That we are part of something greater. Or perhaps, our duel nature? I don't know.

There is a movie called Legion (I liked it, though reviews weren't high), and there were certain... messages... in it that jumped out at me. Symbolism. Perhaps it is a perversion, but the halo of Michael, who the movie had centering around, was a collar, like a dog collar. If I remember right, in the beginning, he lands on December 23rd, and has this collar on, with his wings still intact. He then cuts off his wings, and loses the collar-- it falls off. It's a dichotomy. He sacrifices certain freedom (and is bound to the earth, then), but loses certain binding.

I've also seen images where each feather has an eye on it, like a peacocks (well, kinda). I can interpret that image in ways, too, like, to say that there are many ways to see things... or many eyes to see things with, from different angles.

I resonate with feeling that synchronicity and angels connect... and a "wider angel" (bigger picture), or angels (pictures, messages).

I think we're all in a message. Message of messages. A "word of God".
