The main goal of this group is harm reduction by helping people identify misrepresented substances, not talking down on RC's.

Then they should probably act that way.

As for the Alex Grey's being 25i-nbome, i dont know how they came to that conclusion, maybe they were just assuming since there is 25c and 25i NBOMe, aswell as DOI and DOC being sold on blotter by RC vendors, but they are being sold as such. Ofcourse anyone can than go ahead and sell it as acid. But yeh, not sure why they assumed 25i for the Alex Greys.

Yeah come to think of it, I have no idea either. They said they drew that conclusion from tests at some particular festival, though I don't have the quote handy at the moment. Then at the end of the big long paragraph about how they weren't LSD they had this sentence about how all of what they just said was "unconfirmed". If you're testing the blotters, how is it unconfirmed? If you didn't test any blotters that had 25x-NBOMe on them, then why even bring it up? And they never followed up on it with any real information after that, so what was that all about?

Does anybody know how they test the stuff? Marquis/Mecke/Simons for the pills and Erlich for the blotters? They posted another article about confirmed DOB at a recent festival. How can they confirm anything with such specificity? Can you even detect specific test results for 25I or DOB with those reagents alone?

Im pretty sure they use EZ tests (marquis/mecke/simons etc)

And i have no idea how they came to the DOB conclusion. In fact if i were to wager a guess Id say its more likely the culprit was DOC since thats been making the rounds on the RC market lately.

syd, edata tested a whole bunch of "legal" pills sold in headshops in scotland/the UK area, PMMA and something unidentified.
I dont see how its exactly all that easy to pass of DOx as LSD though, I bought and consumed DOC blotter (sourced from a vendor selling it as DOC..) and I could smell chemicals/a harsh chemical smell when i opened up the foil they came in, and also the taste..i honestly puked from the taste, tasted more bitter than MDMA crystal, amphetamine, 2Cx...
for what its worth (i dunno if this is really relevant...?) the DOC tabs i had were on Che Guevara blotters, thicker than regular L blots..
i looked on their site, why are they so against RCs being sold AS such-eg. their methoxetamine thing..?
If people are selling RCs as what they are, whats the problem?

There is nothing wrong with selling RC's as what they are. Selling them as other, more popular drugs is grimy though.

There are youngins out there who dont know the old "If its bitter its a spitter" mantra. Its good to clue people into the possibility that what they are taking may not be what it was represented as.
From the few back and forths ive had with the guy that started it i didnt get the impression that he is trying to bash RC's, though there are plenty of other people on their facebook doing just that.

The goal, like i mentioned before, is to help indentify misrepresented drugs. Whether you want to take the methylone that was sold to you as MDMA is your prerogative.
If i bought methylone as MDMA i wouldnt throw it out. Id be pissed about having spent an ungodly amount of money on such a cheap drug. But then i would still get on it, knowing what it was and how to use it safely.
I love methylone. In fact i find it better for certain situations than MDMA.

Bunk Police member here to answer any questions you may have. Let's put a few things out there first:

1) There are dozens of us. Anyone can be part of this movement and we're all as anonymous as possible.

2) We aren't trying to appeal to you guys. As a bluelight lurker for a long time now, I know that most people on here know their shit and don't necessarily need our help. We are trying to appeal to the average 17-22 year old raver/ festival goer/ uninformed drug user. If I come off as unintelligent, it’s because I’m trying to appeal to people that are either not the brightest, young, or stoned/ spun out of their gourd. These kids don't want to hear that their powder is 4-MEC, MDPV or any other brand of alphabet soup... synthetic stimulant is fine for them, believe me. I can’t even count how many times I’ve tried to ACTUALLY explain this stuff to kids and watched their eyes glaze over.

3) I/ we don’t know everything… Far from it in fact. We’re all learning here, and if you have something to add PLEASE DO. Post it on the FB wall or send it to me in an email ([email protected].) We would love to have your help. As I said, anyone can be part of this and the help of this forum would be especially valuable.

4) Shock value goes a long way. I try to use this to my advantage (such as the methylone vendor on our FB) you can gripe and moan as much as you want, but that started a real conversation and led to me being contacted by quite a few people that saw what we were trying to pull off. We weren’t trying to “call them out,” in fact, I applaud what these sites are doing in distributing interesting chemicals to those who choose to use them responsibly. I’m sorry if it appeared otherwise.

5) We’re trying VERY hard not to voice opinions about substances, but it’s not easy. Attempting to warn of dangers without pissing people like you guys off is not an easy feat. Also, the mainstream news and US government are being very sensationalistic about these issues, as usual. The drug culture, on the other hand, has gone too far in the other direction… presenting everything as “interesting and not too dangerous.” It seems the truth is somewhere in the middle, hopefully closer to our end.

I would like to point out that I’m very busy coordinating all of this, but bluelight absolutely deserves my attention. If you have a valid question or some constructive criticism, I would be more than happy to take time out of my schedule to reply. I will not, however, get caught up in an argument over semantics.

Utahrd, Methylone is schedule 1 in the US, but there are still plenty of countries in which it is legal.
I wont say anything more about that as its dipping into territory inappropriate for BL.

I had a big long thing written out and somehow when i posted it it didn't show up. I'll try to be brief and still adress these quotes.

I support what the bunk police are doing, they are saving lives. I simply was posting here because I thought most of the users here don't follow them on facebook, and therefore hadn't seen some of the objectionable stuff they've been doing lately. Just because they are doing something right doesn't exempt them from ever doing anything wrong.

I don't see anything wrong with outing a methylone vendor, considering that Methylone is currently a schedule one drug(as of October 8th), and as such the vendor is distributing a schedule one controlled substance. You're outing somebody who is selling illegal drugs on the internet.

Like, I don't even know what your precious little RC is (or what it does to people)...I will be certain to not bash your beloved research chems while I inform people about the BPD's existence.

That is defense mechanisms, because you're upset. You don't know anything about me. I've never taken 25i-NBOMe or Methylone, so there is no experiential bias whatsoever here. I just think goofy prank calls isn't the way to run a respectable organization, and since I believe in what they're doing so much I want them to be respectable.

I will also be certain to let people know that the best way to stay safe is to not take drugs (any drugs)

YARDBIRDRC, I believe I owe you an apology. Sorry for jumping on your back and posting immature shit like I did, and I agree, calling texas poison control is something I don't think I would have done myself, if I were them. They are reconsidering the way that they do things.
