An alternative to the term 'smacky'

I hadn't bothered to open this thread cos I guessed what would be on the inside. Oh well... too late now.
Yes it was me that posted about the "lost my dog" thing.
eg. "nahmein I can't dance just now, I've lost my dog big styles!"
"hahaha check out the Bengabus! He's lost his dog mayte"
"Careful ga, those pills will make you lose your dog"
I can't take credit for the invention of this. Someone once posted about how they were pilling hard and sat on their arse and a friend walked past and said "What's the matter xxxx? You look like you've lost your dog!" That was probably nearly a year ago... I just make sure it doesn't get forgotten

Pinger was the one who posted that originally... something like "lost your dog - because sometimes, when the chemicals get too much, and you've got to sit down and have a long, hard think about it, you look like a little kid who's lost his dog".
He also gets credit for being "totally spannered".

I use the word HEAVY for smacky pills. I guess it sounds pretty boring and simple but at least everyone I talk to does actually know what I'm talking about. A 'smacky' pill does make your body feel 'heavy'..
I kinda use it this way, you can be 'munted on heavy pills' or 'munted on peppie pills'. Peppie being 'cokey' but not too rolly...you get the picture.

Please note...!Sherbert_Ass! you see the reason i used the term formaly known as "smacky" was cause somtimes (not all) it makes me (and some friends) wanna curl up in a ball and roll our eyes 720 degrees and to me if you walk through redfern and look down a lane thats what you will see.No i have never tried harry and never will but a friend who was on it for a while was actually the first person i heard describe an xtc pill as "the term formally known as smacky"Why are you a hammer junky and here to set me straight? are a few linguistic colloquillisms which spring to mind from the early 90's alone. Like all colloquillisms they are dependent upon geography, time and circumstances. Why on earth would you want to sit around trying to force the issue.
Being on E would be the term I would use (the thrust of Big Trancer's initial argument)to describe the effects of MDMA.....cos thats what it's like.
If I am talking to someone who knows the experience then I need not explain. If I am talking to someone who does not know the experience then, frankly, I try to explain in rather more precise and descriptive terms than smacky. If you have such a poor vocabulary then a bit more time reading books might be a good idea.

As for using the term Smacky... some of my good friends (non-BL-ers) still think that there is Heroin and Cke in pills. No matter what i say, they wont listen. Maybe the best description would be PURE.... coz from my experiences, the less adulterated the pill, the 'smacky-er' (sorry, wont use it again

Rolling hard is great term.. love the term bulk chopped or 'rolling' ... not sure why.

too true. until I found bluelight I thought 'smacky' pills had heroin in them. it's a common misconception.
we usually say 'smashy'.
a friend of mine has a great way of asking if we're smashed.. she says
"Are you... CLEVER?"
or
"Are you... AWAY?"

I know that when I have had a really good strong pill and someone asks me how I'm doing, I say "I'm fucked..." Then when they start to get that concerned look on their face and put their hand on my shoulder to see if I'm alright I'll say "... but in a good way!" So maybe that should be the new catch cry, "I'm fucked .... but in a good way!!"
 
oh yeah 'fish slapped' is a term we use (or something about salmon heading north or anything like that) mind you my mates say it at any comeon (I do too) hehe

That word itself makes me cringe for so many reasons.
Ok, the truth is, the average dickhead raver (there are a shit load of em, and yes, i'm in a grumpy mood) would relate the feelinG of being legless (our term) to Heroin. These are the type of people that around this time last year thought when they were gacked out, it was "because of all this smack in my pills" (prime example, gold cK's of early last year) and now all of a sudden they think they are amazing because they know what serotonin is. Trust me, in a years time, it will be the people who say "smacked out" that will be saying "dont say smacked out, theres no heroin in pills"

To relate the absolutely awesome feeling of MDMA to heroin is an insult (me a drug snob? fuk yeh!)

Twas my initial point horsey.
Tarsy, i'm not giving you or BT shit, i know your heart and minds are in the right place, but i don't think that getting all worried about "smacky" is the way to go.
My point is this - if people are not concerned enough about their mental state to research ecstacy, or do not have enough nous to realise that maybe they aren't being fed heroin - then is there really any help for them?
I think harm minimisation should be focussed only on those that will embrace it, but the media and stupid ravers like to jump on bandwagons, making the job akin to pushing shit up a hill. Unfortunately, the people who fuck up on pills/whatever usually haven't sought any HR, and can talk about their "heroin" overdose.
But, you can't change smacky, and you can't change people's stupidity. It makes us all cringe, but it just wont work.
I still stand by my assertion though - if you get fed pills and believe you have ingested heroin and you have had pills more than just once... well, you know what i think about your mental faculties and your processes of logic.

there's about enough alternatives for people to use. Everyone's made there points about why we should use alternatives. People that will listen have, and others... obviously won't no matter what anyone does.
