An alternative to the term 'smacky'

The point of all of this is to make people aware that they shouldn't be perpetuating that stupid myth...
SS: Some people aren't stupid because they believe there is herion in pills, simply misinformed by people who know there is no herion in pills, but still go around saying they just had a 'smacky' pill...
K9: It doesn't take a whole lot of effort to show someone the truth of the matter, nor does it take much effort to ignore them if they just don't get it... Therefore I'm going to keep fighting... and statements like "Enjoy your smacky buscuits.. it means they're real.." is what I'm fighting... They're real? ...smacky biscuits are real? ...right...
I really couldn't give a shit about what word people use, one word can't sum up the effects of a pill, especially when set and setting makes it different everytime... I do give a shit about people keeping other people in the dark, and letting them believe something which isn't true...

If they feel SMACKY then they feel SMACKY its as simple as that,there not going to change their description 4 you.. well i sure wont.What you are also forgetting is people like me have come to rely on this term and therefor catagorize pills by this term.U see us SMACKY users understand each other.Just 4 example if i said "gkhgk" was smacky then everybody with half a brain would be able to tell if that is a pill they would like they would straight away know if it was their cup of tea.Im sorry but SMACK is BACK.

Bitch1, last time I checked Bluelight was a drug discussion/education and harm minimisation site. One of its predominant goals is to break down the myths that surround drug use, especially those that relate MDMA. The term 'smacky' only serves to perpetuate said myths, which is somewhat contrary to the purpose of this site. If you cannot accept that in good faith, and insist on acting like an immature troll that baits the mods... what the fuck are you doing here?

Hey bitch1 - you ever had heroin and thus KNOW what being "smacked out" (the common slang for heroin intoxication) feels like? If the answer is no then don't comment.
 
Honestly I don't think there is anything wrong with the term smacky! It may not be correct but everyone knows what your talking about when you say it. Realy do you think there is any chance of us being able to change it now, there are to many people using the term and spreading it to new people who will in term spread it to others if that makes any sense to you, Its to late to stop what has already begun! so lets all just enjoy those Smackey rolls! and forget about deciding what to call them
 
"Smack" has meant heroin for decades, so why would it be stupid for someone to think it must refer to heroin?
If you're talking to someone you know, use any words you want. You would know if they understood you. But on a message board like this, many people do not necessarily know what the term means.

Chill people. Everyone gets on their little pedestal and does the smacky dance, claiming they are right.
My point isn't that people are necessarily stupid for using the term "smacky", BUT in all honesty, if you bought an ecstacy pill off a friend, in a club, off whoever, and i came up and told you that the reason you were sitting on your ass grinning like a madman was because you took heroin in tablet form, and you believed me.. well then, nuff said really.
Why would you be sold heroin?
Why wouldn't people be "injecting" these heroin pills?
Why would it pressed into pills instead of powder?
Why wouldn't it be called "heroin" not ecstacy?
Why would i believe some dodgy fucker who just took my $50?
Why wouldn't i research what i'm doing to myself?
Why wouldn't i hear it from the horse's mouth (ie people who know)?
Why can't i be smacked out, as in have my legs taken out from under me?
Why wouldn't it be sold as heroin to heroin users for more money?
Eradicating the term smacky isn't the answer, providing education is the answer. The term sticks, people are goons and think they have heroin we can't change that. It's slang, and if people aren't willing to use their brian to research it further, or to take on the advice of harm minimisation groups then they deserve some brain frying.
Changing people's perceptions we can do, but through providing info, not getting all high and mighty about terms. No-one has such an issue with "cokey" pills, which is just as stupid. Getting all upset when someone doesn't agree with your view of harm minimisation doesn't help either. There are plenty of ecstacy rumours you hear week in and week out, i think taking a look at all of them is in order, not getting all snooty about smacky.
As stated before, if you think you just had heroin after taking your first E, then you're not stupid - you're a fucking moron. Same goes for coke, acid, glass, rat bait, spinal drainage, etc, etc.
Sorry to step on any toes, i guess i expect a certain level of mental capacity of people using drugs. How silly of me.

I don't like saying smacky or smacked out because of the heroin connotations. My approach is to look at people like they're dickheads when they say "smacky" and lecturing. Personally i say something like lost me legs or something similar.

I feel like just throwing my hands in the air and saying 'whatever', but I'm not going to...
Once again, it's not just about changing the word people use, it's about education, like you said SS, and it's about stopping the passing on of mis-information, which is a part of providing education.
You see SS, you understand the distinction between herion and mdma, but someone who has only had a few average quality pills, and who has never had herion, might easily believe that they have taken a pill made out of/containing herion if they are told it's a 'smacky' pill...
There are many people out there who don't go out and educate themselves before taking drugs, and it might simply be because they don't know where to find the information and they trust those who introduce them to drugs to give them any information they need...
I know I've got absolutely no chance of getting everyone to stop saying 'smacky', and believe me, that's not what I'm trying to do... What I am trying to do is make people think about what they're saying, and the effect that has on others...
As for the other myths, if they were perpetuated within my sight I'd stomp on them too... One of the main reasons I started this thread was so that I'd have something to show people whenever the topic of whether or not to say 'smacky' comes up again...

I agree with you guys. Im not getting up on my soap box.. but it sure does *seem* that people are going out of the their way to get OFF their soap boxes and beat the shit out of me... and there's only 'so much' shit that can be beat out..
In the mean time what about:
"THE TERM FORMERLY KNOWN AS: SMACKY"
(Now c'mon.. thats gotta get 'some' shits n giggles.. made me laugh just to think of it)
