Cocaine blocks the reuptake of dopamine, it competes with amphetamine for the same transporter(s) and actually ends up counteracting the release of monoamines caused by amphetamine.
Amphetamines do not cause increased re-uptake - they cause reversal of reuptake. Hence they are refered to as "releasing agents" reather than "reuptake inhibitors".
Samr thing with MDMA (releasing agent) and SSRIs. The SSRIs occupy the 5-HT transporter and prevent MDMA from causing release.
