Amphetamine Comedown

I have been prescribed Concerta (27mg), which is a time-released form of methylphenidate (aka Ritalin). It basically provides approx. 6mg of MPH throughout a 12-hour period.

Around the 10-12 hour mark, I obviously get tired. This, I presume, is the result of neurotransmitter levels (principally dopamine and norepinephrine) going down.

Does anyone know how long after the comedown I should expect neurotransmitter levels to return to normal (more or less)?

Or rather, when should I expect MPH to stop inhibiting reuptake of (i.e., increasing) these neurotransmitters?

These are simple enough questions. If anyone wants to know why I'm asking, it's because I intend to take a substance that decreases norepinephrine levels (which is somethign MPH increases by reuptake inhibition). So I just want to get an idea if there would be an interaction where there might be long-term implications to consider.

All that is going on is your dopamine and noradrenaline receptors are just highly stimulated.

Sometimes your body simply does not keep up with this stimulation, and you get tired when the drug starts to wear off.
