Hey everyone live from New York this is my first time posting after lurkin around the website for a few years. I'll make a longg story mad short by starting off

with I met a great chick, she is now my girlfriend and we been together for 2 years. We started doing opiates together taking her moms oxycodone 15s thann it
went on to buying 30s off the street, Than my girl got a script every 2 weeks of oxycodone and fentynal after she flipped her car. Than we blew threw 7 grand
on pills and eventually turned to dope. We would pick up a bundle a day take a shot each and be good til the next day. We decided to quit together after daily

opiate use for 2 years every day Her father is wealthy so it was easy for us but everyones time runs out and ours is here now. The 1st day clean i took an 8

mg sub, and a 10mg ambien ir. I dont know what the hell happened but within 10 minutes before i was gunna pass out in pain and exhaustion, booom I was a

new person. I felt like I was on some type of coke or speed as ive never done speed just coke so thats all i know. I jumped out of bed took a shit watched a

game drank a beer went outside blasted music in my car drove around the block smoking ciggs making phone calls I have no idea wtf happend to me. Ever si

nce that experience I have tried to get like that again figuring if i can get that speed like feeling every day i dont need opiates just ambien. 2 days pass, and

i hadent had the speedy feeling again even tho i was trying different combinations of suboxone and ambien. IT would alwayss take my pain away all over my

body legs especially so thats realy y i take it. The 3rd day i wake up, my girlfriennd was kicking at her gfs house right around the corner. I wake up at 12
oclock dont even take a sub, just go get 2 10mg ambiens and by the time i got home 5 minutes later I was speeeeding out again I was like yesss finally again.
Does anyone have any experiences like mine. I mean I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and idk if it could affect me differently but i was hoping to find so

meone out there that has experienced this. can tolerance grow do i need 30 to 40mg to get that speed like feeling again?? THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP.

That's the buprenorphine giving you the energy and feelings of well-being. It's "un-fucking" your brain / day from seeking opiates.

The ambien.. eh.

Reason it lasted several days: 8mg of bupe will take ~300 hours to get down to 1% of that dose. It has a 30-ish hour half-life.

the only withdrawals i have left is waking up every monring with my legs in immmmense pain...i pop a 10mg ambien ir and in 10 minutes no leg pain.. it holds me over til the next morning where i wake up do it again whats up with that

Have you been taking buprenorphine since that initial dose of 8mg?

I would consider Pregabalin or Gabapentin, as it sounds like you have some neuropathic pain to sort out.

If you're only taking zolpidem, I can't guess more than the above...

since that inital dose of 8mg i have slowly every other day woken up and taken 4mg sub and 2 10mg ambien pills. The suboxone has done nothing
at all for my withdrawal symptoms. All it has helped me with is cravings and not being able to use. I wake up every morning with leg pain which is

probly some sort of withdraw sympton since im doing a rapid detox off suboxone and a 2 year dope habit. Right when i pop the ambien the pain

goes away for the whole day until the next morning. I dont understand that, and i dont understand how when I first started taking ambien and

suboxone it gave me the speedy feeling. I've tried many combinations to get that feeling back between the subs and ambien and I cant find it.
Am I just some mental case where I got those weird affects in the begginingg and no matter what i do weather it be upping the subs and

ambien i'll just never get that feeling back???/

ever since last month ambien has no effect on my sleep and it dff has a reverse effect now. I kind of think its because ive went thru a good 100 10mg pills just using them to trip. Just throwing my two cents in.

When i took ambien i was also winding down with my suboxone maintenance. Taking about 2-4mg sub every 48hrs and the ambien were 5mg i believe. It worked the first time, once, then all hell broke loose when I took it a few other times. I got migraines, really painful! and I did not get one wink of restful sleep, or any sleep for that matter! I was irate, thinking "this is a SLEEP drug and it's not making me sleep!". I guess because of my past use and abuse of mainly opiates and benzos has left me quite rigid, forever chemically unbalanced. I thought I was the only one that got such a reaction from Ambien, glad to read this post! Sometimes when I took it i didn't feel anything. Lunesta was a similar experience, minus the headaches, but way too expensive! Now that i'm basically off my suboxone maintenance I've recently received a script for Temazepam, which has finally given me good ol' normal, restorative sleep, but I usually only take it when the insomnia brushes in from working Third Shift all the time...

My eyes skimmed over the title of this thread for a few days, but I never opened it as I have absolutely no idea how Ambien could make you feel speedy, unless you're GABA-ergic dependent and Zolpidem helps you function normally, thanks for the explanation, Pjkt.

Sadly, the first-time highs of many drugs is a totally different experience, and there's no getting it back. No matter how hard you chase after it, that dragon will always be one step ahead of you. Plus, taking high dose Ambien to do this might cause you to do some very regrettable things. Be glad you had a nice first-time experience and leave it at that. :)

yes it does not allow me to fall asleep either.

but even tho i am past 99 percent of the opiate withdrawal i still get up in the morning with horribe horrible leg pain. Right when i take a 10mg ambien the leg

pain gets erased immediatly, maybe 5 minutes and its gone. Am i going to have to suck it up and stop taking ambien and deal with the leg pain so I dont go

ambien withdrawal if that is even possible, because I cant stay on ambien forever. I just dont get how it takes away my leg pain for 24 hours to 36 hours

What is GABA-ergic mean? And am i some sort of freak because i always take ambien throughout the day and it allows me to function great lift weights do activiites and not even think about drugs, it allows me to work, and i work security over night shifts

I don't think you're a freak ioven....i do think it's weird though that the drug is marketed as a "sleep drug" but i've heard so many people say it DOES NOT promote sleep for them! I just don't trust Ambien at all, no sir don't like it. I believe it should be studied more by those who can do something about it or change it for the better....I'm sure many benifit from it, but I NEVER did and I tried hard to use it when I couldn't get good sleep, thought that was the best idea instead of just taking it daily even if I was actually tired, but it just never panned out well - many side effects that were very uncomfortable! I work night shift too and sometimes sleep is so hard to come by! If you are looking for a sleep drug look up Temazepam - it has given me very restful, "normal" sleep EVERY time i've used it

Ambien can work in the brain by increasing the amount of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric (sp?) acid (GABA). These transmitters help to regulate the speed @ which nerve impulses travel. When GABA increases, then the speed of nerve transmissions decreases ....enabling the drug to depress the nervous system and cause reduced pain and muscle relaxation....

If you are dependant on ambien or other sedatives..then eventually, it's not going to make you sleepy..but help you function through your day..the same way an opiate dependant person will not nod from a normal dose..but will only be functionable.

Ambien doesn't work for sleep for me, either. Although, I've never felt speedy from it.
