Benzos Alprazolam.

I'm having a bad feeling I'm not going to be able to taper down.

I have a good feeling that you are if that's where you're at.

Listen up: this shit comes in stages or waves (I think this was mentioned here already). True story and that just from my little experiments of late.

Klonopin (Clonazepam) dosage is the same as Alprazolam i.e. 0.5mg of Alprazolam = 0.5mg of Klonopin. BIG difference though is the half life i.e. Klonopin's half life is anywhere between 18 and 50 hours whereas Alprazolam's half life is anywhere between 6 - 12 hours. Point being that Klonopin should be a breeze to taper from i.e. with far less ups and downs and less unpredictable results. Not to say easy. But certainly doable.

If I MAY ask: what dosage are we talking about here (you don't have to answer of course)?
 
I know this is an Alprazolam thread, I take klonopin prescribed 0.5mg twice day as needed, but I also have some Alprazolam 1mg and Etizolam 1mg and 3mg ER, as a back up, it's why I posted on here, I really want to taper down, but the pressures of life are not letting me, I can't take that pain of anxiety I get in my chest, especially at night when I'm sleeping after taking prescribed Ambien, which is losing it's effect so I have to get up and take extra benzos to relax me back to sleep.

Any suggestions?

Dalpat077, I'll answer your question later I have to get ready for work, the problem is I'm not confident in my job and its causing me stress and anxiety issues, the training really sucks, and when I try to taper off, I get hit with panic and anxiety attacks because work pops into my head.

Yeah I know my friend,Alprazolam suppressed my analytical capability,sniping information from surroundings, environment and properly process them.I agree with you.That's why I am here,for some new informations.I thought that,you all going to give me some research papers containing new informations.

Other than tapering slowly as is my suggestion (and not substituting one type of shit with another i.e. sticking only to Klonopin) I don't have any other suggestions.

One thing that stands out though:

Ambien is the trade name for Zolpidem. So there: you and are are ALMOST on the same footing but for one thing and that's the half life and intended action of Zolpidem. Zolpidem is one of the z-drugs. Zolpidem is SUPPOSED to only work for a max. of 3 hours or so. The idea behind the stuff is that it induces sleep but then lets your body takeover from there. Zopiclone on the other hand, also a z-drug, basically knocks you out for a few hours. It's debatable as to whether or not that's REAL sleep for for now: I wouldn't worry about that.

Guess what I'm saying is that you're already taking Klonopin and Zolpidem. So ditch the Zolpidem and replace with Zopiclone. That should at least allow you to get a night's sleep without waking up and needing to take Klonopin. So that's sorts your sleeping problem out. And from there: taper the Klonopin and then we'll deal with the Zopiclone issue (because that's unfortunately also something that's not just simply going to disappear into the ether either i.e. you're going to have to taper off of that too at some point AND probably be a while before you'll sleep naturally again).

BUT let me say THIS much:

SOMETIMES you have to ask yourself if there's a point to all of this. In other words and at YOUR dosage: why stop? I've said this before on this very topic: unless taking these things, at therapeutic doses and as prescribed, and not for recreational purposes, is fucking your life up beyond all recognition ("FUBAR") then, well, why beat yourself up over the shit? In other words: there's obviously an underlying anxiety issue (probably could say the same for myself due also to circumstances beyond my control and certainly not my fault) and they're working for that. Why not wait until everything else is sorted and then bother with this? See my point?

There was a lady here not that long ago and who very kindly thanked me for the above advice. She'd been taking very low dose of something (I forget now which benzodiazepine but could look it up if I remember the thread title) and for decades and simply to sleep and nothing more. And yet, from what I gather, she was feeling like shark shit because she'd been taking them for so long and, no doubt, had a physical dependence after all of those years. But so what? Rather that than not being able to sleep for days or weeks on end. In her case, and maybe yours, the benefits outweigh the negatives (given a current set of circumstances).

Also kinda backs up one of my previous points made right here. These things can be beneficial and have their uses. They're not the evil that they're made out to be. UNLESS they're being abused.

Anyway. There's my thoughts. Hope it helps my good (Dio) friend!

Etizolam never falls into Benzodiazepine Class Psychoactive chemicals.It's a compound of Thienodiazepaine class.

I told you. As long as I'm around I'll hold your hand and help you stick to your taper. And if I'm not around: damn sure there's one or two others that will pick up from where I left off and hold you accountable. Trust me: it could be beneficial i.e. doing it on your own could be difficult. And of course there's the propensity to cheat!

And you don't need new information or research! I'm it! 🤣 I've done all the reading and research on your behalf already. Years ago! 🤣

Oh well. Whatever the case and whatever the outcome: I think, or hope, that there's some beneficial information here for others.

I had a hunch yesterday hence my first post on this thread.

Hope I'm wrong. If I am: I retract and apologize for the above.

If I'm right though: dunno how you're going to sort this one out i.e. there's some pretty darn decent information on this thread (this not in reference only to my own posts). Closing the thread would be a pity I reckon. But deleting the first post would result in deleting the thread too not?

Oh well. If nothing else: going to delete my own posts where we were joking about pricing.
 
Can remember reading an article that described the kind of drug scene that is around Nepal and Bangladesh at the moment, peeps typically taking a cocktail of Bupe, Xanax and some obscure cheap muscle relaxant...all done at once via I.V. Can only imagine that it doesn't take long to get a tolerance from all that and needing silly doses after a few years.

As soon as our Dutch ban on New Psychoactive Substance includes Benzodiazepine analogues. The current one. that will follow within a year will blanket only stimulant's, fentanyl analogue's and empathogen's.

So I have some time to save up for the trip, as I would like to experience Bangladesh. With or without Benzo's, but it never hurt's when something prescribed is OTC somewhere else.

We will see, long way from the Netherlands to Bangladesh.

Where I live a common cocktail of drugs is buprenorphine (Subutex) + Midazolam maleate (Dormicum/Flormidal/Versed) + tizanidine (Sirdalud/Zanaflex) all IVed in a single syringe. Alprazolam (Xanax) isn't water soluble. Midazolam (the salt form midazolam maleate) is very watersoluble and a hard hitting benzo. The street price of midazolam is ridiculously higher than the street price of alprazolam. The only reason for this is that midazolam can be IVed.
