Ok so i just popped a 2mg zanny bar bout an hour or so agpo then bout 15 mins i popped a 1mg zanny bar, then anotha 1 mg zanny bar within 15 mins so thats bout 4mg of Alprolazam in my system. Am i gona be barred out pretty soon? cuz i have about 2 more mgs of it but idk if i should wait, cuz im not really feelin that xanax barrd out feeling, a little. ? Help please

^ agreed. The 2mg will do you so much better at another time. It wouldn't really add to your high right now.

With benzos (or any other drugs, I've found), usually less is more. I've had times where I take 6 mg alprazolam (dangerously high dose, I have massive tolerance - so don't try this) and feel nothing. Then at times I take 2.5-3 mg of it and I'm in a good place.

Always start low.

I've been prescribe xanax for many years. For a long time I could take a few extra and get a god buzz but now even when i take extta, the buzz has gone away and they just make me sleep. Such a disappointment. The relaxed buzz they offer is so great but I can't get that anymore.

Tachyphylaxis for benzos is a major factor why they're only prescribed for short-term usage.

I would say that this is the reason why they should only be prescribed for short-term usage, but that is hardly the reality.

I am the same exact way so I this is very good advice. ;)

Unlike other drugs, redosing benzodiazepines is actually effective and will increase your high, or whatever you want to call it. But this is a recipe for disaster as you can easily get carried away and may eventually black out and end up doing all kinds of stupid and possibly dangerous things.

4mg of alprazolam is a lot for someone without a tolerance, you may want to slow down and try and have some self control before you continue on. If you don't feel anything from 4mg then just give it a rest. You may be searching for a high in all the wrong places. Not everyone enjoys the effects of benzodiazepines. I wouldn't call it a "high", I'd compare it to alcohol intoxication without the euphoria and more side effects.

When they say blacked out, they mean you wont remember any of it tomorrow. I actually hate the term to, because it sounds like blacked out as in passed out. The op was confused

Another thing, not every benzo gives a "high" and alprazolam is one them. There is no "high" with alprazolam. The benzo that give a high are benzos like diazepam, temazepam, flurazepam (even though it's a partial agonist), nitrazepam, flunitrazepam, clonazepam, oxazepam (albeit a very weak high), lorazepam, nimetazepam, lormetazepam, bromazepam, and some others.

Alprazolam is not one of them. Alprazolam is one of these benzos which you take and really don't feel any kind of body high and you keep taking more and more and more and then you black out. It's physical addiction potential is very high, but it is not a benzo that gives you a buzz or a high. It's not alone either - there are other benzos just like that. Estazolam is another one and so is quazepam, and from what I hear so is tetrazepam.

Usually it's the 1,4 benzodiazepines that give a high, but of course there are exceptions too. There are subclasses of benzos within the 1,4 group like the 2-keto, 3-hydroxy, 7-nitro, etc.

This is soooo fucking true. But Benzos Are NOT really meant and suck if you wanna get high. Go Jenkem or sumshit nahimsaying goddd. I'm totallly switching back to Diazepam 40mgs and Restoril 30mgs/OR Oxazepam(Serax I never had sounds like its OK for my situation), OR Ativan 4-5mgs and again with either Restoril 30mgs/OR Oxazepam(Will use this as a sleep aid but wouldn't it be good for daytime anxiety to I thought? so like 3 Ozazepam 30mgs with 4mgs of Ativan?
^
Which combo sounds best for wanting long anxiety relief for someone who has had a 4 and a half year or longer?(cannot remember) benzo tolerance/scripted. I take just 4mgs of xanax currently and I have found to not like it anymore. It seems to be sedating, a weird spacey feeling that makes me want to sit down and if I take say 3 mgs in a short time at the end of a stressful day and then save the 1mg I have left I take that a bit before bed, and then I find it HARDER to get to sleep and its ANNNOYING.
