cheers man, yeah my bp is all over the place, seems to have eased off now from less meph, could do with cutting down on caffiene though. been smoking more now as well, not good. oh well. stamina isnt too bad at the moment but lost a lot of muscle, 9.5 stone atm

might go for a blood test and see how my body is doing. the amount of vodka and general battering my body goes through over the weekends cant be too good. alcohol tolerance is high. kidney aches and stuff. not half as bad as i used to be though. but i aint giving up booze yet, would like to replace it with something weaker but theres so many cals in beer etc

dont think ill bother trying to get big and ripped now, just as long as i dont end up a fatty ill be content
 
how i am at the moment, a year + on from previous pics, bearing in mind ive hardly put any effort in for the past year, but been heavy on the healthy eating during the week. although binge eating and binge drinking heavily on the weekends. must have balanced out, although getting lower body fat, cant really see it here tho

Looking great Dan, very healthy - though it's good to hear you being honest about the "inside" and taking steps to deal with that too, you are good example to us all.

B&W's suggestion about blood pressure and cholesterol testing is an excellent idea, its always worth checking these things and i will ask at my next doc check-up.

G used to make my kidneys ache, all that hard work processing the shit..and me tummy was always sore.

Seems odd that you're getting kidney aches from alcohol?

I've only ever experienced kidney aches from taking E's.

yeah have done ever since going on the mad 24+ hour self destructive benders of last year without looking after myself, triggered kidney twinges, aches n pains. felt awful for days on end. probably cos i kept dehydrating myself etc. plus over christmas far too much vodka, seems to be the vodka that brings it on. last time i got them was xmas. also the mxe use may contribute although my useage is pretty much sod all. think ive may done some minor kidney damage, been abusing alcohol from a young age. used to get in a right state when i was in my teens, always been self destructive with the stuff. used it as a crutch that i pushed beyond once i started drinking. alot worse than i am now, but never had any issues back then. awesome times though. dont fancy ending up on dialasis or whatever in a few years to come, fuck that
 
Tried 21's for the first time today. Fucking hell.

What weight were you doing? Did you use the bar for the preacher curls or just a barbell?

I had a brilliant work out today, absolutely nakard now. Has anyone tried that clean and jerk with the bar? Fuck me first time I've done it, 3 sets of 10 and that was me dead. Only had 20kg on the bar, bar weighs 15kg and was struggling on the last one each set. Apparently great all round work out for chest, back and triceps.

Basically did the sat of that programme I posted, plus a heavy abs work out and a few other triceps work out. New programme is wicked, buzzing to see what the results will be like.
 
Nope Zyzz/Aziz designed it, and there is no proof he ever took them. His brother did. It's not too intense at all, pushing the boundries is what you want. If your not absolutely nakard after the gym and muscles a bit sore/tight then your work out needs a bit of tweaking.

Had a bit of a bad one after the gym aswell, missed the bus home so had to hop on another one. Which takes me to 3 miles away from my house lol, shoved the trackies back on behind a garage and jogged back, legs were already dying from squats aswell. Definately sleep well tonight hope they're ok tomorrow planning a bash on the trials bike in the woods somewhere.

That's what Arnold Swarzenneger and every pro athlete, and actor, says. They all take performance enhancing drugs. I'm not against them in any way shape or form, I just think that routine doesn't leave enough time for muscles to recover if you aren't on them.
 
How do you work that out though mate, your basically only working one group of muscles a day so its more or less a whole week to recover.
 
There aren't many back exercises that don't work your biceps, and there aren't many chest exercises that don't work your triceps, so you are working your bis and tris twice in reasonably quick succession.

Dan, you're living proof that bitorougjack's [sp?] advice about building your exercise regime into your everyday lifestyle is the best way. manual labour always = healthy bod & good visuals. my bro had a very similar physique back in the 80's/90's when he was working 20 hr days and moving around kits of fish in a seiner fishroom for 3 weeks out of 4. You look fantastic, even after no formal exercise regime for a year, kudos <3


I think thats fine, it looks like a body very fit through varied movement/stress, aka your work. There's a difference between bodies like yours and those created under artificial managed conditions aka the gym. My mate said he's never been fitter than when he was pouring concrete, there was not an inch of fat on him.

People should get their blood pressures & cholesterol levels checked though as what you look like on the outside can be very different to your internal fitness.

agreed. somehow I think Dan will be sorted when it comes to cholesterol in particular. we've all been in awe of the salad pics ;p ... I doubt a few microwaved jaffa cakes n oreos thrown into the mix will have left 'is veins all fuzzy n knackered

get out of it, ffs. he admitted in various places [BB forums] that he was taking: trenbolone acetate (tren) & clenbuterol, ECA, and t3 (a thyroid hormone - mainly for fat loss) ... and on top of that his dead body contained evidence of coke. let's not pretend 'there's no evidence of steroid use' nonsense. and I'm not posting that from a pro/against steroids debate standpoint (I'm a flabby 40 year old that diets as and when it's convenient, & in a very unhealthy way), but for the sake of good discussion & advice, there needs to be at least a modicum of reality/truth in the info shared.

and let's not forget, that the guy is fucking TOAST already ... geeze. .. and i very much doubt it's a coincidence. of course, it could be tho ... lolz

Many of the famous competitors from the 70's that took stims and steroids ended up on a slab in their late 50's . s'never a good combo. so if you are gonna make the leap and embark on a course of them, I'd at least make a 100% commitment to giving up stims for a lengthy period before doing them (yes, even the ones you casually end up doing when you end up on an unplanned bender ... it matters). I know you don't give a fuck about your lifespan (based on your response to someone else mentioning dying in your 60's) but, believe me, that opinion is merely a temporal thing .. you will care eventually .. and it's ignorant to believe that doing casual stims and steroids wont considerably affect your health, because it will, and does

Arnie never denied taking steroids as far as I'm aware. weren't they legal in the 70's?

Actually Marmz, you are right. He did admit it. For some reason I thought he was trying to distance himself from it. I have heard the amount he took in a week was less than most take for breakfast these days though.

Even Ronnie Coleman denies using steroids LOL

I just bought some phd diet whey with some free CLA. Does anyone have any experience using CLA? Or is it just crap?
 
What's CLA? PHD is good stuff usually had it before, the only thing is it doesn't last very long compared to the stuff off myprotein.co.uk.

I always thought the thing about him having said he took roids was pure rumour, as was the stuff about there being coke in his system. It's not stated as solid fact on most places. There's even a few rumors he's still alive!

Yeah i've always gone with phd pharma whey in the past, thought i'd try something new. CLA is supposed to be a fat absorbtion prohibitor, that also promotes lean muscle growth. I think the clinical trials of it showed conversion of roughly 1 lb of fat to muscle every 2-3 weeks or so. It's not much but if it's a free gain from a product I didn't pay a penny for I might as well.
 
Sounds good mate. The best pro shakes I ever had was that muscle fuel anabolic USN stuff, the lean gains one. Only bastard is it's £50 for what works out at about 20 days worth max. Definately does taste good and give good gains though. These days I just go with the myproteins stuff, £50 lasts about 3 months.

Still trying to decide on gym today but after drinking saturday night and most of sunday could be a waste of time going. Had sore kidneys all day so probably aswell leaving it for now. Always seem to miss mondays if i drink Sat....
