Harm Reduction Alcohol substitute that can be used every 3-4 nights

I have discovered that there is a substitute for alcohol that is non-addictive, but it can only be used every third night at a minimum. It consists of 1.2 mg scopolamine and 150 mg pregabalin, mixed with 1-2 beers if you still want to have a small amount of alcohol. A rapid tolerance builds to the scopolamine, and hence the advice to only use it once every 3-4 days. I just smoke a bit of weed on non-alcohol-substitute nights, only 1/2 to 1 cone. I've also been looking at replies to my post asking about weed substitutes, so maybe soon I won't need the weed at all.

Scopolamine is a anticholinergic and deliriant and should absolutly not be taken regularly. It can cause dementia. Also 1mg is a really high dose the scopolamine patch releases 1mg over 3 days. I used that for food poisoning and that was plenty enough scop to use. Shit makes you feel weird

kava could be a decent substitute, esp if you’re only using it every couple of days. it’s alcohol adjacent in it’s effects, it’s a lot more mild

Why not just smoke weed though?
OP made another thread on why.

There are dozens of botanical ways to access the THC effect (CB1 mainly), including non-cannabis cannabinoids.

Also the non-THC cannabinoids tend to be well-tolerated (some are antipsychotic / nervines) and the cannabis terpenes are found in many plants, they're all psychoactive. I estimate these volatiles contribute at least 50% of the overall cannabis effect.

have discovered that there is a substitute for alcohol that is non-addictive...
Alcohol has well-known GABA and anti-glutamate effects but it's metabolites (see tetrahydroisoquinolines) have various properties including opioidergic and dopaminergic (eg DRI). And thats just what's known & documented... there's likely many more undiscovered things going on.

The tetrahydroisoquinolines form from dopamine but the same process happens with serotonin forming "beta-carbolines" which are also psychoactive.

This post gives a good insight into alcohols pharmacological effects:

I understand the desire for a substitute. However, I do not really support the idea of taking Scopolomine regularly. My understanding is that it is a harmful substance.

Pregabalin (Lyrica) and Gabapentinoids in general appear to show some cross-tolerance with GABA agonists. I don't think it is accurate to call it a substitute for this reason.

Incorporating other drugs into your regimen with the idea of foregoing tolerance seems like a good idea, while it often just opens the door for poly-substance addiction.

You're not taking these things to get less fucked up, are you? You are trying to get more fucked up and that is the reason why this is a bad personal philosophy for people like you or me.

You have Cannabis. You have Alcohol. Use them and dont abuse them and they can provide you with a lifetime of good feels. Milk the cow too frequently and it just dies.

great idea adding scopolamine with a little beer especially if u were a heavy drinker

How is that a great idea? Adding a strong anticholinergic to alcohol is a horrible idea imo. Also alcohol has a dementia risk as well so adding it to scopolamine willl increase that risk
